IoT Connection Management Platform

To adapt to IoT development trends, Huawei Cloud Core Network has developed a unified connection management platform that is access agnostic, carrier-class, scalable, and open.

The platform provides full connections between people and things and between things. It supports fast integration of multiple vertical industry applications and offers APIs to meet diversified device access needs, helping carriers, enterprises, and industries build end-to-end IoT solutions and to quickly integrate multiple industry applications and increase business revenues. The open APIs help customers quickly integrate industry devices, speeding service rollout and reducing integration costs.

EC-IoT Solution

Huawei’s Edge Computing IoT (EC-IoT) Solution supports a wide range of industrial protocols and interfaces to adapt to different industry connection scenarios through in-depth and open edge computing capabilities and cloud management architecture.

eLTE Broadband and Narrowband IoT Solution

Huawei’s eLTE-IoT solution that complies with 3GPP specifications is used on the Industrial Scientific and Medical bands and consists of a unified service engine, AirNodes supporting both broadband and narrowband IoT, Customer-Premises Equipment (CPE), mini-PCIe cards, modules, and a multitude of terminals. The eLTE-Licensed solution is built on 4.5G, and the eLTE-U solution is built on 2.4G and 5.8G, with both providing guaranteed wide coverage and high bandwidth features for video surveillance, mobile office, and other services.

In addition to CPE, Huawei provides modules for vendors to develop different IoT terminals as well as industrial sensors and positioning tags.

NarrowBand IoT

A large number of IoT applications will exist in the future widely applied to terminals in daily life and among vertical industries, all needing a Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) with the following features:

Licensed spectrums for high reliability and security Signal availability even in basements and remote suburban areas Battery powered terminals that can last for 10 years Single cells that can support 100,000 connections for low communications module costs Network which supports mobility, roaming, locating, and other functions, with no latency
