July 2017: Huawei was listed in Gartner’s Challengers Quadrant in the Data Center Network Magic Quadrant.

June 19, 2017: At the 2017 China Rail Transportation Forum, with members of the Urban Railway System Association, subway companies, industry partners, and other guests as witnesses, Li Zhonghao, China Rail Transportation Forum expert and Academic Committee Director and Tian Shang from the Urban Rail Video and Security Technology Alliance, unveiled Huawei’s Urban Rail Ecosystem Lab. The lab was formally established to help the urban rail industry’s innovation and information development in a more convenient and efficient way.

June 14, 2017: Huawei and Shenzhen Airport Group signed a strategic partnership framework agreement. In the future, both parties will open comprehensive cooperation in IT infrastructure, smart campus, technical innovation, and training to improve personnel capabilities, among others. By establishing relevant mechanisms, they will establish a smart airport joint-innovation project team, working hand in hand to create a benchmark smart airport with the best experience possible.

June 13, 2017: Yingtan City’s Market and Quality Supervision and Management Bureau, Yingtan City Food Industry Association, Huawei, China Mobile Jiangxi, G7, and TD Industry Alliance announced the signing of the Mobile-based IoT “Food Tracing Management” Smart Logistics Application Demonstration cooperation framework agreement to take food safety management to a new level.

June 15, 2017: Huawei and Shenzhen Bus Group Co., Ltd officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the aim of creating a new “smart bus” ICT industry.

May 23, 2017: At the 5th Global Financial Summit, Huawei and Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) signed a strategic partnership agreement on site. Huawei will support ABC’s multiple data centers and multiple business centers’ internationalization and architecture optimization.

May 15-17, 2017: Using the “New ICT, the Road for Airline Digital Transformation” theme, Huawei unveiled the 17th Dubai Airport Exhibition and held the first Huawei Global Airline Industry Summit. At the Airport Exhibition, Huawei joined T-Systems, SAP, TravelSky, Yitu, Terra Vision, HYDATA, SenseTime, and other partners to display the smart airport visualized operations, all-scenario operations monitoring, airline cloud, and others in the first series of leading airport ICT solutions covering airport passenger experience, airport smart operations, and three categories of business systems and airline cloud-based architecture for airport smart security. During the exhibition, Huawei and Doha Hamad International Airport signed an airport digital transformation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aiming to build a strategic partnership to drive the digital transformation of airports.

March 27, 2017: At CeBIT 2017, Huawei IT Server Product Line Vice President Wang Zhen and Infosys Finacle European Region Director James Buckley stood side by side to present Finacle on KunLun, which is the Infosys Finacle Bank Core System Joint Solution that runs on Huawei’s KunLun open architecture midrange computers.

March 21, 2017: Bank of Jiangsu Co., Ltd signed a strategic partnership agreement with Huawei in Nanjing. Both parties will establish a strategic partner relationship for comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in the fields of information planning and construction, financial service innovation, enterprise management, and professional development among others. 

March 3, 2017: SONY and Huawei signed a strategic partnership agreement in which both parties opened in-depth cooperation and exchange in the IP Live solution.

February 14, 2017: Huawei and DHL signed a cooperation MOU where both parties focus on IoT innovation. Providing a series of smart IoT solutions for customers using industrial-grade IoT hardware and infrastructure and improving the efficiency of the logistics industry.

2017: Nari Group and Huawei signed a strategic partnership agreement where both parties will open discussion and cooperation in the fields of optical communications, wireless communications, SDN, IMS, power line communications, chips, cloud computing, big data, the IoT, and others.

July 2017: Huawei entered the Challengers Quadrant in Gartner 2017’s Enterprise Firewall Magic Quadrant.

April 2017: At Hannover MESSE 2017, Huawei joined with leading industrial Internet software company GE Digital Group to release the industrial predictive maintenance solution based on industrial cloud. In the digital industrial era, this solution helps manufacturers reduce their O&M costs and predict unexpected device shutdown while driving product and service innovation.

March 2017: At CeBIT 2017, Huawei and Honeywell announced their cooperation to provide smart building solutions in a global scope. This solution is based on the newest IoT technologies and will create a more “environmentally friendly, secure, and efficient” building environment.

February 2017: Huawei and AlgoSec, security strategy management leading vendor from the U.S., established a cooperation relationship to create a security strategy management solution that manages Huawei’s full line of firewalls based on AlgoSec management platform to help users simplify security strategy management and implement automation. This strengthens the network’s security and visualization, allowing the network protection to be more efficient so that business can develop more agilely.

February 2017: Huawei and Spain’s National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE),, released a white paper titled Building a Trusted and Controlled IoT World at Mobile Work Congress 2017. This paper analyzes the development status of IoT security technologies, summarizes IoT security practices, and presents how IoT requires a variety of E2E security defense mechanisms to ensure security.

February 2017: Huawei Agile Controller received the Best SDN Product Award in China in the SDN/NFV industry.

2016: The number of eLTE Alliance members reached 91, including analyst institution IHS, Siemens CVC, Honeywell, Frequentis, and Emerson Process Management. The wireless dedicated network industry ecosystem developed rapidly, effectively boosting the development of industrial wireless broadband. By the end of 2016, Huawei had signed 296 eLTE network contracts.

November 2016: At the Smart City Expo World Congress, 3 Huawei customers in the Smart City domain had remarkable achievements in their city transformation and providing high-quality citizen services. Upon the display of talent, the host presented them with important awards including the Innovation Award given to Kenya’s MicroClinic, the City Award given to the Jiuquan Dunhuang Smart Travel Company, and the Project Award presented to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. Huawei provided leading Smart City solutions to these customers in Kenya and China, helping them create citizen-centric life services, driving integration and justice in society, expanding new paths to economic growth, and enabling sustainable development in cities.

November 2016: Huawei Smart Energy Innovation Center was officially launched in Nuremberg, Germany. The center provides an open ecological platform for European industry customers and consulting/design companies to learn from each other and exchange experience.

November 2016: Huawei banded with industry partners to establish an Edge Computing Industry Alliance to accelerate industry-oriented digital transformation. This alliance aims to build an edge computing industry cooperation platform to promote the open collaboration of the OT and ICT industries, incubate best practice of applications of the edge computing industry, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the edge computing industry.

November 2016: Huawei and Intel Security signed a cooperation agreement, formally joining the Intel Security Innovation Alliance and becoming the first partner of Intel Security in the Chinese market.

October 2016: At Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX), Dubai International Airport and Huawei announced a partnership, in which Huawei would construct a prefabricated modular data center (MDCC project) for Dubai International Airport.

September 21, 2016, at InnoTrans 2016 in Berlin, Germany, Huawei and Beijing National Railway Research and Design Institute of Signal and Communication (CRSCD) announced their global partnership dedicated to joint innovation in solutions and joint expansion in the global market. They also signed a cooperation MOU. 

August 2016: Huawei signed a cooperation memorandum with global leading electrical and automation technology enterprise ABB at HUAWEI CONNECT 2016 held in Shanghai, China.

August 2016: Huawei announced its positioning in Gartner’s Visionaries quadrant in the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure. This is the first time that Huawei has entered the Visionaries quadrant since 2012 when Huawei was included into Gartner evaluation. While ensuring an outstanding ability to execute, Huawei believes that it has shown a great improvement in the completeness of its vision.

August 2016: Huawei released the Connected Elevators solution and started global cooperation with global leading elevator and escalator supplier Schindler. This solution will enable Schindler to better monitor, analyze and leverage data generated from its elevators and escalators, and support the unified connection and management of Schindler’s one million elevators around the world.

July 2016; Huawei and General Electric announced their strategic partnership to accelerate the development of industrial IoT innovation applications and support the digital transformation of industrial customers. Both parties signed a cooperation MOU.

July 2016: Huawei new-generation 2-socket server FusionServer 2288H V3 has scored an overwhelming 34.80 @ 28 tiles in VMmark’s virtualization test, setting a new performance benchmark for 2-socket servers. This world record is yet another broken by the 2-socket server, which holds the current world records for SPEC CPU, SPECjbb, and SPECPower tests as of this year.

June 2016: At Interop Tokyo 2016, Huawei CE8860  and CE6851 data center switches received the Best of Show Award Grand Prix in the ShowNet Product category.

June 2016: At Interop Tokyo 2016, Huawei KunLun 9032 Mission Critical Server, Huawei IP Hard Pipe Solution and Huawei NE40E-X2-M8A Universal Service Router received the Best of Show “Grand Prix” Awards across three categories of enterprise ICT innovations.

June 2016: Tolly Group, a leading independent testing organization, has validated the performance of Huawei Agile Distributed Wi-Fi Solution. The results highlighted in Tolly Group’s verification report show that, compared with indoor wall plate and settled Access Point (AP) solutions from other mainstream wireless network vendors, Huawei Agile Distributed Wi-Fi Solution delivers outstanding performance, easy management, zero roaming, and rapid self-networking.

May 2016: Huawei’s FusionServer X6800 had again set a new world record with a score of 10,653 in the SPECPower_ssj 2008 benchmark, the industry’s most-stringent energy efficiency test.

May 2016: Huawei’s servers have been moved up from the Niche Players Quadrant to the Challengers Quadrant by Gartner, the world’s leading IT technology research and advisory company, according to newest release of Gartner’s Magic Quadrant.

May 2016: TMC, a global integrated media company, has selected Huawei Agile Controller as a winner of its 2016 INTERNET TELEPHONY SDN Excellence Award.

April 2016: Huawei and Baidu have jointly built China’s first Internet Data Center (IDC) optical transport network that supports T-SDN.

April 2016: Huawei and Malta Government signed an MOU for a strategic alliance agreement aimed at supporting Digital Malta program. The MOU addresses three main areas of cooperation: the creation of a Joint Innovation Center (JIC) in Malta for the research and development of Smart City solutions and technologies, a plan to deploy a 4.5G commercial pilot with telecom operators in Malta — the first step for the country to move towards 5G — and the fostering of young talents, offering two weeks ICT training in China for 5 talented Maltese students.

April 2016: Huawei and Synnex signed an MOU at the first Huawei Global Partner Advisory Board (PAB) Summit. The MOU marks the beginning of a new phase of comprehensive collaboration for the two companies.

March 2016: At CeBIT 2016, Deutsche Telekom announced the launch of Open Telekom Cloud. The new public cloud platform will provide European enterprises of all sizes with on-demand, pay-as-you-go, secure cloud services to respond to fast changing market conditions. Huawei was selected as the hardware and software solution provider for Open Telekom Cloud.

March 2016: At CeBIT 2016, Huawei launched the world’s first 32-socket server called KunLun, which could help customers move their mission-critical systems to open architectures, leading the way in the new era of open-architecture mission critical servers.

March 2016: At CeBIT 2016, Huawei signed a strategic partnership MOU with KUKA, a global leader in robot technology, to develop smart manufacturing solutions for industrial markets in Europe and China.

March 2016: At CeBIT 2016, Huawei unveiled its first Openlab in Munich, a new center of excellence to foster joint, customer and business-driven ICT innovation with partners. March 2016: At RSA 2016, Huawei firewall won the “Recommended” rating from NSS Labs thanks to its outstanding performance in a Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) test. This NGFW test involved 13 products from industry-leading security vendors. The NSS Labs “Recommended” rating can be obtained only by top-class products, demonstrating the industry-leading performance of Huawei firewall.

January 2016: Huawei’s Unified Security Gateway (USG) and Eudemon series next-generation firewall solutions received Common Criteria (CC) certification at Evaluation Assurance Level 4+ (EAL4+), making Huawei the first Chinese firewall provider that had passed the certification. It demonstrates the security and reliability of Huawei’s next-generation firewall products, which can provide reliable security support for government agencies and enterprises to protect mission-critical information assets.

December 2015: Huawei unveiled its open mobile security platform AnyOffice at the China E-Banking Annual Conference to promote the development of mobile finance.

September 2015: Huawei unveiled Agile Controller 2.0, the open architecture controller tailored to cloud networks. August 2015: Huawei’s agile data center SDN solution was deployed by Meituan Cloud, setting a commercial benchmark for SDN projects in the Internet sector.

June 2015: Huawei rolled out its virtual Next-Generation Firewall (vNGFW) at Interop Tokyo, building a secure logical border for virtual networks in data centers.

March 2015: ICTresearch released the Annual Report on China’s Modular Data Center Products 2014-2015. According to this report, Huawei had a 14.6 percent market share and the leading position in China’s modular DC industry.

March 2015: Huawei and Deutsche Telekom AG signed a framework agreement on global IT infrastructure and private cloud solutions in Hannover. This expanded the two companies’ cooperation to the IT field.

March 2015: Huawei and Intel officially announced their strategic partnership. The two companies will jointly provide innovative technologies and public cloud solutions for global carriers, helping carriers develop public cloud business and offer carrier-grade, high-quality cloud services to enterprises.

January 2015: HIS released the Annual Report on Data Center 2014. Huawei’s CDC ranked first in shipments and had an 11 percent global market share. The report showed that Huawei CDC had taken the leading position in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

January 2015: Huawei announced the establishment of an industry-leading NFV Open Lab. The phase-1 project had an investment of US$5 million. The lab aims to enhance Huawei’s integration certification capabilities, allowing joint service innovation and promoting industry ecosystem development.

December 2014: Huawei’s eSight passed the test conducted by TollyGroup, an international authoritative evaluation organization.

December 2014: Huawei launched the AR3670, the industry’s first ICT converged agile gateway built on the Intel X86-based platform. With three innovative technologies, the product helps enterprises launch value-added services over branch networks.

December 2014: Huawei’s Active-Active Data Center Solution was honored with the 2014 Technology Leadership Award in Datacenter Solutions presented by Frost & Sullivan.

November 2014: LTE-based Broadband trunking Communications (B-TrunC) developed by the China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) was accepted by the International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) as an international standard. Huawei is a major contributor to this standard. Huawei’s eLTE solution complies with the B-TrunC standard and has been proven in multiple projects worldwide.

November 2014: Huawei and Red Hat announced their global partnership to jointly develop OpenStack-based cloud solutions, satisfying the NFV demands of telecom carriers.

November 2014: Huawei’s next-generation enterprise-grade converged storage system OceanStor 6800 V3 achieved 650,987.88 SPC-1 IOPS™ in the SPC-1™ performance benchmark testing, ranking No. 1 once again.

October 2014: Huawei held the 2014 BYOD Solution Alliance Summit in Hangzhou, China’s Zhejiang Province, becoming the industry’s first vendor to adopt the Internet model for operations. At this event, Huawei and nearly 80 partners agreed on the unique win-win strategy of the BYOD Solution Alliance.

September 2014: Huawei held the AnyOffice mobile App development contest with a theme of “mobile innovation, better life”. The goal of this contest is to find more enterprise Apps and promote outstanding Apps to the market through Huawei’s platform. September 2014: The dedicated railway signal system integration project for China’s Harbin-Dalian High-speed Railway was honored by China Railway Society with the Railway Technology Award. In this project, Huawei’s GSM-R solution was delivered.

September 2014: Huawei’s GSM-R solution received TÜV certification, becoming one of the first vendors to meet European Union (EU)’s decisions for the railway communications markets.

In February 2014, Huawei and 29 partners specialized in the wireless communications sector set up an eLTE Solution Alliance to drive innovation and advancement of eLTE solutions. By working with upstream and downstream integrators and vendors, the alliance members are dedicated to providing customers across industries with high-quality eLTE broadband trunking technologies and solutions that can be easily deployed in commercial networks. August 2014: Huawei unveiled a next-generation 1080p60 HD recording and streaming server RSE6500, opening up a new era of large-capacity recording and mobile playback.

July 2014: Huawei’s latest Cloud Fabric Cloud Connect Solution passed authoritative testing firm Tolly Group’s series of tests.

July 2014: Huawei’s eSpace Contact Center V2 solution seamlessly integrated with SAP® Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) by being certified by the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC). The integration provided enterprise customers with consistent service experiences with the help of converged service processes.

June 2014: Huawei and Phoenix TV jointly held the Phoenix TV and Huawei Omnimedia Cloud Data Center Summit. At this event, the two companies announced the launch of Phoenix TV’s “2+7” Global Distributed Cloud Data Center Program to ensure global information sharing, where “2” represents two main data centers in Beijing and Hong Kong and “7” represents seven regional data centers in Shanghai, Paris, Los Angeles, and other areas.

June 2014: Frost & Sullivan released the Analysis of the Global DC Power Systems Market 2013. The report showed that Huawei had a 24.7 percent globe market share, leading the communications power supply industry.

June 2014: Huawei’s eSpace 7900 series IP phones successfully completed interoperability tests with Broadworks SIP and Asterisk products. The success indicated that Huawei’s eSpace Unified Communications (UC) solution had taken a firm step towards greater openness and interoperability.

May 2014: Huawei won the “Technological Innovation” and “Environmental Protection” awards at the Tenth-Session UPS and Power Customer Satisfaction Survey Result Revealing Conference.

May 2014: Huawei announced the advanced Gigabit Ethernet switch S5720-HI, which is also the industry’s first fixed-configuration agile switch. The S5720-HI has large tables and buffers, avoiding packet loss in burst traffic. It supports in-depth wired and wireless convergence and unified management on devices, users, and services. The S5720-HI can be used as the core device in an enterprise branch network or a small or medium-sized campus network or as the aggregation device in a large-sized campus network, to achieve a manageable and reliable enterprise campus network with scalable services.

May 2014: The FusionSphere Users Alliance established under Huawei’s advocacy had up to 150 members.

May 2014: Huawei attended the first general assembly of the Broadband Trunking Communication Industry Alliance (B-TrunC) in Beijing and became a Board Of Directors (BOD) member.

May 2014: Huawei’s OceanStor 9000 storage system specifically designed for big data was proven to provide a single system of up to 40 PB capacity — the largest capacity in the industry — which allows 40,000 x 1 TB hard disk units to be simultaneously managed using a single file system. This was another milestone of the OceanStor 9000, following its leadership position in 5-million OPS performance.

April 2014: Huawei released AR511, the world’s first ICT Convergent Mobile Interconnection Gateway to help customers achieve rapid expansion in the mobile Internet era.

April 2014: Huawei launched the world’s first MAX PRESENCE telepresence system in Beijing, China.

April 2014: Huawei released its next-generation Gigabit firewall USG6300 series and next-generation firewall software versions at Interop Las Vegas 2014, marking Huawei’s continued inputs to the network security market.

April 2014: Huawei’s Agile Wi-Fi Solution was deployed at the 3 W cafes in Zhongguancun, Beijing. This was the first real deployment of IEEE 802.11ac-compliant WLAN products in China, opening up the door to GE access.

April 2014: Huawei announced the opening of its OpenDaylight (ODL) Lab, which was the first of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, and second in the world to be hosted by a third-party as part of the approved OpenDaylight Community Labs list.

April 2014: Huawei’s S12700 received the Performance Verified certificate from world-renowned third-party testing firm Miercom at Las Vegas Interop 2014.

April 2014: Intel and Huawei signed a strategic partnership memorandum, under which both companies would integrate their respective advantageous resources and strengthen their existing cooperation in technological collaboration, product R&D, and joint-marketing initiatives to drive the advancement of big data technologies.

March 11, 2014: At CeBIT 2014, Huawei and SAP announced that they would deepen their relationships through large-scale collaborations planned across multiple offerings and practices. Building on the foundation of collaboration, Huawei launched the FusionCube for SAP HANA® solution to enhance its support for the in-memory computing platform.

March 2014: At CeBIT 2014, Huawei unveiled its multi-service LTE router AR161, and also demonstrated the Wi-Fi network for Signal Iduna Park of Borussia Dortmund football club, servicing over 80,000 fans. This deployment demonstrated Huawei’s innovative concepts in the high-density Wi-Fi sector.

March 2014: Huawei launched the GE Wi-Fi Metro Solution and also its latest 802.11ac-compliant in-train AP9130DN. The in-train AP9130DN and AP8130DNs alongside the rail lines can ensure always-on GE connectivity on trains and the ground. These offerings heralded a GE Wi-Fi era for metro lines.

February 2014: Huawei unveiled its next-generation big data-oriented Anti-DDoS Solution at RSA 2014.

February 2014: Huawei’s USG9500 firewall passed various tests and satisfied all requirements contained within the NSS Labs “Firewall Testing Methodology”. NSS Labs CEO highly recognized the USG9500 as the fastest firewall that they have tested.

February 2014: Huawei launched onto the global market three next-generation, high performance, high reliability, and multi-socket servers. The three models are the 8-socket RH8100 V3, 4-socket RH5885H V3, and 4-socket CH242 V3 (blade server node).

February 26, 2014: Huawei held a press conference with Telefonica at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona to sign an MOU on Telco Cloud cooperation, which covers the UNICA Infrastructure, SDN network, and NFV. Both made announcement at the press conference, pledging to deepen bilateral cooperation in the Telco cloud field and promoting commercial progress of the cloud computing technology in Telefonica.

November 2013: Huawei was granted Gold Membership by OpenStack Foundation.

September 2013: Huawei announced its “Fusion Strategy” for the IT sector. This strategy combined an array of IT technologies, including computing, storage, network, virtualization and data center technologies, to lay the foundation for an open platform that would enable third-party system integration, simple deployment, and simple O&M of enterprise IT infrastructures.

September 2013: Huawei unveiled the world’s first built-in battery rechargeable switch S5700-BAT at Huawei Enterprise Networking Congress 2013 (HENC 2013) in Shanghai, China.

August 2013: Huawei globally released the industry’s first agile network solution, along with the world’s first agile switch S12700 that is based on fully programmable ENP chips. Adopting a service-, user-, and experience-centric agile network architecture, the solution provided five innovative functions, namely; free mobility, united security, IP network quality awareness, wired and wireless convergence, and smooth evolution to Software-Defined Networking (SDN). These functions enhance the network agility in terms of services, facilitating transition from single-point “Best-Effort” to network-wide “All-in-Control.”

June 2013: Huawei’s CloudEngine12800 was honored with the “Best of Show Awards” in the Data Center and Storage Category at 2013 Tokyo Interop.

May 2013: Huawei’s container cloud data center became the world’s first container data center to receive the TIER certification. Huawei’s “Desktop Cloud Data Center for Thousands of People” has become a global model.

May 2013: Huawei’s WLAN series products passed China Telecommunication Technology Labs (CTTL)’s authoritative medical equipment interference tests. As evidenced in the test results, Huawei WLAN products fully comply with Chinese national standards in terms of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), electrical safety, and environment reliability; they also perform well and are considered qualified during the interference testing of over 10 types of professional medical equipment, such as patient monitors, life-support machines, and multi-functional therapeutic machines.

January 1, 2013: Huawei launched its “Dandelion” program, a global channel empowerment program designed for helping channel partners worldwide achieve better and faster capability enhancement.

December 2012: Huawei’s K3 CDC won the “DCD Blueprint Award“, the ”Oscar” of the DC industry.

December 31, 2012: Huawei launched its online education platform E-Learning, providing self-aid training and learning services with scenario/role designs tailored for enterprise customers, partners, and ICT practitioners.

December 2012: Huawei UPS received the world’s first batch of “UPS Energy Star Certification”, demonstrating its green and efficient features.

October 2012: Huawei officially joined the OpenStack Foundation to facilitate the establishment of a more open cloud computing ecosystem.

August 2012: Huawei and the State Information Center of China co-established the Innovation Center for e-Government Initiatives. This is the first research institute in China jointly set up by a government affiliate and a company that is dedicated to the research, application, and promotion of new e-Government technologies.

August 2012: Huawei announced its global channel service strategy.

July 28, 2012: Huawei’s technical support website was officially launched to deliver more convenient and efficient service experience. It provides various services including browsing and downloading of technical information, software patch downloading, and online service request.

July 2012: Huawei became the only China-based company to join the Board of Directors of the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS).

June 2012: In the German DB laboratories, Huawei GSM-R completed the interoperability test and EIRENE certification process together with other GSM-R suppliers.

May 2012: Huawei became the first China-based company to join the Transaction Processing Performance Council (TPC). The TPC is an international standards body that defines transaction processing and database benchmarks and delivers trusted results to the industry.

May 2012: Huawei signed an important partnership agreement with SYNNEX Group, which helped Huawei successfully enter the channel network of the US enterprise ICT market.

May 2012: Huawei launched the Huawei Certified Internetwork Expert (HCIE)-Enterprise technical certification. This is the highest ICT technical certification of the routing and switching field in Huawei’s certification program.

March 2012: Huawei launched its LTE-based mobile broadband solution (eLTE) in the industrial market.

November 2011: Huawei officially launched its ICT technical certification program. This program is the only certification system in the industry that covers all technical fields.

November 2011: Huawei acquired Symantec’s 49 percent stake in their joint venture, Huawei-Symantec, for US$530 million. The transaction was closed in March 2012 and Huawei now retains full ownership of Huawei-Symantec.

April 2011: Huawei became the first China-based company to serve as a Board of Directors member of Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF), a mainstream standards organization on cloud computing.

March 2011: Huawei and Digital China signed a cooperation agreement and Digital China officially became a distributor of Huawei’s enterprise networking products.
