FusionDC1000C is a prefabricated modular data center solution with a building block design: factory prefabrication, integration, and testing minimize onsite workloads, accelerating deployment.
With prefabricated modules are classified into types based on function — equipment, Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) cooling, power, and hydropower (valves and pumps) — the solution is configured with Huawei's Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) system. In addition, Artificial Intelligence (AI) — through iCooling, iPower, and iManager technologies — improves the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across the data center lifecycle, helping customers achieve business success.
By the end of 2019, Huawei's FusionDC1000 prefabricated modular data center solution had ranked first in terms of shipment numbers for five consecutive years, benefiting thousands of industries across the world.
With devices prefabricated, integrated, and tested in the factory, Time To Market (TTM) is slashed by 50%. Modularized components, modularized functions, Process-Oriented Designs (PODs), on-demand deployment, and phased capacity expansion all simplify the workload and project management.
Indirect evaporative cooling maximizes the use of natural cooling sources and improves Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), while optional smart fan wall cooling technology and high-temperature chilled water reduce power consumption by 3%. In addition, waste, dust, and noise is kept to a minimum on the construction site, through prefabrication.
AI-based intelligent optimization continuously reduces data center energy consumption, while the use of smart sensors and big data analytics help to precisely manage available resources and tenant information, maximizing the value of data center resources.
The solution complies with the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA)-942 standard for data centers. In addition, Huawei iPower implements full-link monitoring of the power supply and distribution, and generating fault warnings for core components to ensure uninterrupted operations.
HUAWEI CLOUD Songshan Lake FusionDC in Dongguan: Deploying 8 MW, 1000 Cabinet Data Centers in Six Months
The Fusion Data Center (FDC) in Songshan Lake, Dongguan, is a key front-store node deployed in South China by HUAWEI CLOUD. The campus covers an area of 72,000 square meters and there was a plan in place to deploy more than 7000 cabinets in four phases. The first three phases involved using Huawei's FusionDC1000 prefabricated modular data center solution. A delivery speed of 1000 cabinets in six months per phase was achieved, with an average power of 8 kW per rack. Compared with traditional construction modes, delivery time was reduced by more than 50%, effectively supporting the rapid rollout of massive HUAWEI CLOUD services.
