Jadara University Builds Smart Classrooms with Huawei IdeaHub

Huawei IdeaHub is transforming teaching at Jadara University, enabling interactive learning, better collaboration, and modern digital education experiences.

From Traditional Teaching to Interactive Digital Learning

Jadara University has long relied on traditional teaching methods, using whiteboards and basic projectors in their classrooms. While these tools supported standard lectures, they restricted interaction and made it difficult to adopt modern teaching approaches. As digital education evolved and student expectations increased, the university recognized the need to move beyond conventional methods toward a more engaging and flexible learning environment.

To support its academic vision and enhance classroom experiences, Jadara University began its journey toward digital transformation by introducing smart classroom technologies that empower both teachers and students.

The Need for Engagement, Interaction, and Hybrid Learning

Before the project, classroom interaction at Jadara University was limited, and remote teaching capabilities were minimal. Faculty members needed tools that would allow them to explain concepts more clearly, share digital content easily, and interact with students in real time. Students, in turn, required more engaging learning methods that supported collaboration and participation.

The university also aimed to support hybrid and remote learning during the academic semester, ensuring continuity of education regardless of location. To achieve this, Jadara needed a high-performance interactive solution that was easy to use, reliable, and suitable for daily academic operations.

Huawei’s Solution — Smart Classrooms with IdeaHub

To meet these needs, Huawei deployed its IdeaHub smart classroom and collaboration solution at Jadara University. Following a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) phase that demonstrated the solution’s value and usability, the university moved forward with deployment across selected departments.

A total of 43 classrooms were equipped with Huawei IdeaHub interactive screens, transforming traditional lecture spaces into modern smart classrooms. The high-performance interactive displays enable teachers to present content clearly, annotate materials in real time, and collaborate seamlessly with students. The solution also supports remote teaching and online participation, allowing classes to continue beyond physical classroom boundaries.

The deployment was carried out in close coordination with Jadara University’s internal IT and procurement teams, with technical support from Huawei throughout the PoC and implementation phases. No custom integrations were required, ensuring fast deployment and ease of use for faculty members.

More Interactive Classes, Better Learning Outcomes

Following implementation, Jadara University observed clear improvements in classroom engagement and collaboration. Teachers reported better performance and smoother lesson delivery, while students benefited from more interactive and flexible learning experiences.

Approximately 40 teachers now use the solution, supporting classes of around 35 students per classroom. The smart classrooms enable online learning and remote collaboration, improving communication between instructors and students. Feedback from users has been very positive, highlighting the solution’s ease of use and its ability to enhance daily teaching activities.

This smart classroom environment represents a significant step forward in Jadara University’s digital education journey.

Future Outlook — Expanding Smart Classrooms Across Campus

Jadara University plans to expand Huawei smart classrooms across the entire campus, creating a unified digital learning environment. The university also aims to introduce additional digital platforms, including learning management systems, supported by future training initiatives.
