Suzhou, China, March 25, 2013 The opening ceremony of the e-Hospital Innovation Laboratory jointly established by Huawei and Neusoft was held in Suzhou on March 22. Zhang Shunmao, President of Enterprise Business Group Marketing and Solutions for Huawei, and Yao Yong, Neusoft Vice President and General Manager of Healthcare and IT Business, attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, Mr. Shunmao and Mr. Yong congratulated each other on the successful establishment of the laboratory, confirmed their plans and expectations, and reaffirmed their commitment to achieving the objective of "1 + 1 > 2." To accomplish these goals, Huawei will provide Information and Communications Technology (ICT) products and platforms and Neusoft will provide healthcare services and applications. By leveraging both companies' competitive advantages and product features, Huawei and Neusoft will be able to offer industry-leading e-hospital solutions that deliver comprehensive features and high performance.
The first stage of development includes the IT infrastructure solution and IT-based hospital application solution. The IT infrastructure solution integrates the hospital network, medical data center, wireless hospital system, and medical cloud platform. The IT-based hospital application solution combines the Hospital Information System (HIS), Laboratory Information System (LIS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR), telemedicine services, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) for medical applications, mobile nursing, mobile facility inspection, expert consultation services, and unified hospital communications and collaboration systems.
The joint e-Hospital Innovation Laboratory will apply advanced ICT technologies, such as cloud computing, telepresence, Wi-Fi, and BYOD, to the field of IT-based healthcare to innovate new products for the health care industry. In the near future, Huawei and Neusoft will use the platforms developed in the joint laboratory to continue innovating more competitive solutions to meet the requirements of medical organizations and contributing to the development of IT-based healthcare services.
