Bangkok, Thailand, May 28, 2013 – Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, shared its success stories and experience in railway projects worldwide with executives, experts and academics from over 20 countries at the 2nd Annual Signalling and Telecommunication Asia Congress held between May 21 and 23, 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Mr. Frisch shared Huawei’s success stories and experiences in railway projects worldwide.
Mr. Norman Frisch, who oversees Global Business Development of Railway Solutions at Huawei, delivered a speech titled "Manage Complexity of CCTV, PIS and Rail Operational Communication" as part of the event to share Huawei’s experience in supporting global rail customers realize greater operational efficiency, improved security and an enhanced customer experience through advanced, reliable and future-proof ICT solutions.
"The modern railway industry is constantly transforming, providing yet higher speeds, greater efficiency and quicker services to customers. The ever increasing capacity demand, the limited capacity of existing rail infrastructure and the prohibitively high costs of capacity expansion all translate to a complex set of economic and operational challenges." Mr. Frisch said. "With solutions such as GSM-R, CCTV, UC&C as well as transmission and IP, Huawei supports railways with a communication infrastructure that will not only serve the immediate demands today but also allow for future growth in demand."
