Shenzhen, China, May 13, 2013 –Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today announced that the S7700 series switches (S7703, S7706, and S7712) received the world's first Green Product Mark certificate for ICT products at the award ceremony held on April 11, 2013.
The Huawei S7700 series switches feature various green designs and energy saving technologies, including innovative energy saving chips that enable intelligent power consumption control, automatically adjusted fan speeds and a left to rear air flow design. The S7700 series switches satisfy a multitude of environmental standards set out by the highly respected TÜV Rheinland certification, which encompasses safety regulations, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental protection, recycling, energy efficiency, carbon footprint and social responsibility.
Environmental production has always been one of Huawei's core value propositions. Since the implementation of the Environmental Policy of the European Union in 2002, Huawei has actively embraced the "Green Communication, Green Huawei, Green World" policy in its core strategy, and has vigorously incorporated energy efficiency and environmental protection into every facet of product development. Huawei is honored to receive the Green Product Mark certification from TÜV Rheinland, which not only demonstrates the leading performance of the S7700 series switches, but also recognizes Huawei's dedication to green technology and its continuous efforts towards sustainability and environmental protection.
Mr. Holger Kunz, Vice President of TÜV Rheinland Greater China, highly commended Huawei's green proposition and the green technologies adopted by Huawei's products, as well as Huawei's proactive approach to environmental social responsibility. Mr. Kunz also expressed his wish to continue to work closely with Huawei in the development of green technologies to promote sustainability and energy efficiency in all Huawei products.
