Turkmenistan Railways Selects Huawei Intelligent Railway Solution for Telecom Upgrade Project

Istanbul, Turkey, 24 October 2012 – Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today announced that it has been appointed to upgrade the telecommunications systems by the Turkmenistan Cilmammet-Buzhun. Huawei’s advanced Intelligent Railway Solution will be implemented for the telecommunications upgrading project.

Partnering with ASPMK-519 & KEC International who will serve as the project’s main contractor, Huawei will provide a full spectrum of innovative ICT products and solutions to the Turkmenistan railways, which are developed to specifically address needs of customers in the transportation sector. These include integrated Ground to Train Radio Communication System (GSM-R wireless network including mobile and fixed GSM-R terminals), Train Control Communication System (OMC, Dispatching System, PA,), Transmission Network System (SDH + Datacom), Telephony System (MSAN +NGN), as well as various indoor/outdoor track phones.
