September 29, 2012 – Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, issued four solutions with SSS Dorado and T series unified storage based on Oracle Database in September. The four solutions, using Huawei original SmartCache technology and Oracle Flash Cache, ASM Preferred Read Failure Group, and Migrating Hot Objects technology, largely accelerate the performance of Oracle Database for different customer scenarios. By moving hot data to SSDs, these solutions improve the OLTP and OLAP performance to maximum 24 times that of using HDD storage arrays, making deployment and O&M more efficient.
Huawei is a valued Oracle partner and has been certifying its products through the Oracle Linux and Oracle VM validated configurations program, since 2006. Recently, Huawei completed certification of its storage products including the OceanStor Dorado2100, OceanStor T-series (S2600T, S5500T, S6800T), S2600 and VIS6000T. The published configurations of Huawei Storage and Oracle Database, Oracle Linux and Oracle VM come with best practices to help customers achieve more stability, efficiency and reliability.
"Make IT Simple and Make Business Agile is the goal Huawei always pursues,” said Mr. Fan Ruiqi, President, Storage Product Line, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. “To achieve this goal, we not only devote ourselves to developing reliable and high-performing products, but also expedite the compatibility process with top manufacturers in the industry and continually optimize integrated solutions. The validated configurations and enhanced solutions with Oracle can bring users more agile application and simpler maintenance. With Oracle’s joint efforts, we are looking forward to bringing our customers more valuable solutions.”
"Huawei has worked closely with Oracle in delivering pre-tested, certified, and production-ready configurations running Oracle Linux and Oracle VM through the Oracle Validated Configuration and Hardware qualification programs. Oracle is pleased to see that our collaboration with Huawei is bringing better tested, more integrated, and fully supported solutions to our mutual customers,” Wim Coekaerts, Senior Vice President, Linux and Virtualization Engineering, Oracle, said.
