The MiFi works at a distance up to 10 meters and will provide internet or network access to any WiFi-enabled peripheral device.

In India many telecom operators offer MiFi devices.

Vodafone offers a 3G MiFi dongle for 5500, Tata Photon similarly offers a WiFi dongle at the price of 6000, and Beetel offers such a MiFi device for 5500.

The biggest improvement in the Huawei MiFi device is that it will allow the change of the SIM card, and users can choose any operator SIM. The device is expected to be priced at 4500.
