[Frankfurt, Germany, June 26, 2018] At ISC High Performance 2018 (ISC 2018), Huawei showcased its latest AI acceleration technologies in the HPC space. At this year's ISC event, Huawei highlights its commitment to ignite the HPC potential with intelligent computing and provide a more diversified portfolio of intelligent HPC solutions for customers across multiple industries.
Huawei showcases intelligent computing solutions at ISC 2018
At ISC 2018, Huawei demonstrated Atlas, the new-generation AI accelerated HPC cloud hardware platform. Atlas is built on the Huawei FusionServer new-generation servers powered by the Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors. Atlas leverages multiple key technologies such as software and hardware disaggregation, intelligent orchestration, heterogeneous pooling, flash acceleration, and high-speed interconnect. It implements unified orchestration and scheduling of HPC cloud hardware resources, intelligent on-demand provisioning, and service deployment within seconds, enabling a leap in both hardware resource utilization and overall HPC performance.
Huawei also demonstrated the HPC solution and deep learning instances based on the Open Telekom Cloud. This line-up of offerings provides more elastic HPC resources and a convenient AI platform for organizations in scientific research and AI domains.
In addition, Huawei showcased the prefabricated HPC solution, which supports integrated delivery and one-stop tuning and will meet the market soon. Drawing upon Huawei's data center energy expertise, the prefabricated HPC solution integrates HPC resources such as compute, storage, and network with infrastructure factors such as power supply, cooling, and equipment rooms. Based on the original system design, the solution enables efficient resource consolidation and performance tuning to boost system performance, drastically shorten the delivery cycle, and streamline O&M operations.
