OptiX Club provides services or products for you through Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (collectively, "Huawei" or "we"). We understand how important your privacy is to you and are fully committed to protecting it. Before submitting personal data to us, please read and understand this Privacy Policy ("this Policy"). This Policy applies to Huawei's enterprise business websites, applications, products, and services that display or provide links to this Policy. You do not have to provide your personal data to us. The OptiX Club Community (collectively, "we" or "us") attach great importance to your personal data and privacy protection. We strictly comply with local laws and regulations and use industry-leading security technologies to ensure data security. We may collect your following personal data to provide corresponding services and ensure secure and stable running of the system.

1.1After obtaining your consent, we will collect the following personal data when providing you with the following functions/services:

1 Registration

When you register and use a Huawei OptiX Club account, we need you to provide your account registration information, including your name, phone number, country, city, email address, company, position, industry, and optical solutions that you are interested in.

2 Content recommendation

If you agree, we will send you information or notices about Huawei products or services related to the optical solutions you prefer and have selected when registering. If you do not want to receive such information, you can unsubscribe or reject at any time.

3 User community interaction

When you watch live on platform, or learn courses, fill in Q&A questions, conduct satisfaction surveys, vote or make comment regarding topics in the OptiX Club community, your name, phone number, country, city, email address will be collected, and we will record the resulting interaction for further event feedback and membership customization.

4 Bonus point redemption

When you participate in the gift redemption activity, or participate in community activities and get awarded with prizes, we need you to provide the recipient name, phone number, address, and postal code for arranging gift delivery. If you do not agree to provide such information, we will not be able to arrange gift delivery, and it is deemed that you voluntarily give up the chance for gift redemption.

5 Bonus point reward and recovery

When you sign up for the OptiX Club Community member bonus point reward program, we will collect your sign-up information, and clicks on EDM emails pushed by the OptiX Club Community. Such collected information will be used for user community interaction and member bonus point calculation and registration.

When you apply for OptiX Club member bonus recovery, we need you to provide relevant information through email to optixclub@mail01.huawei.com, including the member account, bonus point recovery type, content description, and pictures (If the picture you submit contains personal information of another person, please be sure to obtain that person's consent or anonymize their personal information before you submit it. ), so that our administrator can quickly handle your application for bonus point recovery.

6 Feedback and suggestions

We highly appreciate that you can submit your suggestions to us through email. To handle your feedback in a timely manner, we will collect your member account and feedback, including questions, requirements, or suggestions.

2. How to Use Cookies & Similar Technologies

2.1 Cookies

To ensure the correct operation of our websites and applications, we may at times place a small piece of data known as a cookie on your computer or mobile device. A cookie is a text file stored by a web server on a computer or mobile device, and the content of a cookie can be retrieved or read only by the server that creates the cookie. 2.2 Web Beacons and Pixel Tags

In addition to cookies, we may also use other similar technologies, such as beacons and pixel tags, on our websites and applications. For example, when you receive an email from Huawei, it may contain a click-through URL that links to a Huawei web page. If you click the link, Huawei will track your visit to help us learn about your preferences for products and services and improve our customer services. A web beacon is usually a transparent graphic image embedded in a website or email. We use pixel tags in emails to find out whether an email has been opened. If you do not want your activities to be tracked in this way, you can click the unsubscribe links in the emails.

3.How to Disclose Your Personal Data

3.1 Disclosures

Generally, we disclose your personal data only for the following purposes:

1. To disclose authorized information with a specified third party.

2. To disclose your personal data with our affiliates for specific, clear, and legitimate purposes, and provide services.

3. To disclose your personal data with a partner authorized by Huawei if some services are provided by the partner. Huawei will disclose your personal data in accordance with this Policy. For example, we may entrust partners or vendors for sending emails and providing technical support and Gifts delivery, etc.. These partners can only use your personal data only for the purposes illustrated in this Privacy.

4. To comply with applicable laws or respond to valid legal procedures. If we are involved in a restructuring, merger & acquisition, separation, bankruptcy, or liquidation lawsuit in a given jurisdiction, your personal data may be disclosed in connection with the transaction (you will be informed).

We may disclose your personal data with platform service partners. We will conduct strict privacy and security due diligence before introducing a partner, and will contractually bind our partners to protect your personal data with strict measures. To meet new service requirements or accommodate service feature changes, we may change our partners, in which case we will explicitly update you about the changes in this Privacy in a timely manner.

4. How to Access or Modify Your Personal Data

It is your responsibility to ensure that all personal data you submit to us is correct. Huawei is committed to maintaining the accuracy and completeness of your personal data and keeping it up-to-date.

As required by applicable laws, you may: (1) Have the right to view and copy your specific personal data held by us; (2) Request us to update or correct your inaccurate personal data; (3) Reject or restrict our use of your personal data; (4) Request us to delete your personal data; and (5) Request us to explain the personal data processing rules. Note that we may decline your request if we reasonably believe that the request is fraudulent, unfeasible, or may jeopardize the privacy of others.

As permitted by applicable laws, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, withdrawal does not affect the legitimacy or effectiveness of how we process your personal data based on your consent before the withdrawal is made; nor does it affect any data processing based on another legal basis other than your consent.

5. How to Protect and Retain Your Personal Data

The security of your personal data is important to us. We endeavor to protect your data to the fullest extent from unauthorized collection, access, disclosure, use, copying, modification, or destruction by adopting appropriate physical, management, and technical measures. For example, we use cryptographic technologies for data confidentiality, protection mechanisms to prevent attacks, and access control mechanisms to permit only authorized access to your personal data. We also train our employees on security and privacy protection to ensure each employee is fully aware of personal data protection. While we take the utmost care to your personal data, please note that no security measures are infallible.

We will retain your personal data for no longer than that is necessary for the purposes stated in this Policy, unless the retention period is extended or otherwise required by law. The data retention period may vary with cases, products, and services. The standards we use to determine the retention period include: the time required to retain personal data to fulfill business purposes (including providing products and services; maintaining corresponding transaction and business records; controlling and improving the performance and quality of products and services; ensuring the security of systems, products, and services; handling possible user queries or complaints; and locating problems); whether you agree to a longer retention period; and relevant laws, contracts, and other equivalences that determine the data retention requirements. For example, your pictures transferred to us is deleted once we have recorded your corresponding bonus points but at least 6 months after we received your pictures . You can choose to deregister your account by sending an email to optixclub@mail01.huawei.com,after you deregister your account, we will stop providing products and services for this account, and delete or anonymize your personal data without special legal requirements.

6. How to Process Children's Personal Data

Generally speaking, our websites, applications, products, and services are not intended for minors.

If you are a minor, your guardian must read and agree to this Policy before using our websites, applications, products, and services.

If you are the guardian of a minor and believe that Huawei has collected the personal data of the minor without consent, please contact Huawei in accordance with Chapter 10 in this Policy. We will try to delete the personal data as soon as possible.

7. Third-Party Providers and Their Services

By using any Huawei products or services, you may receive content or web links from third parties. Huawei does not have control over the content or websites after redirection, but you can choose whether to use the links, view the content, and/or access the products or services provided by third parties.

The personal data you provide on a third-party website is collected and processed solely by the third party, and independent of processing activities performed by Huawei. We have no control over the privacy and data protection policies of third parties, which are not governed by this Policy. Before submitting personal data to them, please read and understand their privacy statements.

8. International Transfers of Your Personal Data

Huawei is a multinational company. As such, the personal data we collect may be processed or accessed in countries or regions where you use our products or services, or other countries or regions where we or our affiliates, service providers, or business partners are located. Different jurisdictions may have different data protection laws. In such circumstances, we take appropriate measures to ensure that data is processed as required by this Statement and applicable laws. This includes when transferring a data subject's personal data from the EU to a country or region that the European Commission deems as not ensuring an adequate level of data protection. In such cases, we may use various legal mechanisms, such as signing standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, obtaining the data subject's consent to the cross-border data transfer, or implementing security measures such as anonymizing personal data before cross-border data transfer. If you are not satisfied with our reply, and you believe your legitimate rights and/or interests were harmed during our handling of your personal data, you can file a complaint or lawsuit with data protection authorities or officials with jurisdiction.
