From now on, two Huawei Dorado 5000 HyperMetro provide real steam in the data center. The new systems implemented by UMB experts, Huawei’s gold partner, together with specialists from Spaeter AG allow synchronous data mirroring and make the IT more stable and scalable. This leaves Spaeter AG more time to focus on its core business.

OceanStor Dorado 5000 V6 brings intelligent data management and more power

Data integrity and availability play a central role for a secure IT infrastructure. That's why Spaeter AG chose the Huawei OceanStor Dorado 5000 V6. The reliable flash storage system offers powerful performance and many new performance-relevant features thanks to intelligent algorithms. These algorithms detect errors in the storage system and can correct them at lightning speed. OceanStor can even optimize storage utilization by removing redundancies and better positioning data.

Spaeter relies on OceanProtect for secure backups

Resilience is also at the top of the list of priorities at Spaeter AG. The company uses two Huawei OceanProtect X6000 as backup storage. OceanProtect uses E2E acceleration and an active-active architecture to back up and restore data quickly and reliably with a low total cost of ownership. OceanProtect also supports high-performance SSDs. Full end-to-end acceleration enables backup bandwidth of up to 19 TB/hour and recovery bandwidth of 21 TB/hour.

Within the framework of the LifeCycle project, the experts from UMB together with the specialists from Spaeter AG have taken a series of measures to improve and modernize the IT infrastructure. With the setup of UMB, the IT environment of the Spaeter Group is now more secure and efficient, also thanks to the outsourcing of the internal data center to two state-of-the-art co-location data centers. This gives the company the capacity and security to respond quickly to new business requirements.
