RHUB5921

The RHUB5921 converges CPRI data from remote RF modules and provides the following functions:

  • Works with the DCU and pRRU to provide indoor coverage.
  • Receives downlink data from the BBU/DCU and forwards the data to pRRUs, and forwards uplink data of pRRUs to the BBU/DCU.
  • Supplies power to pRRUs using PoE.

Remote Transmission Capability CPRI0/CPRI1: Two RHUBs can be cascaded for RF signal combination. In this case, the maximum optical fiber length between the DCU and the last-level RHUB is 2 kilometers by default but can be extended to 15 kilometers if the radius of the source cell is modified to 35 kilometers.
CPRI_E0 to CPRI_E7: At least CAT6a S/FTP shielded Ethernet cables must be used to achieve a data rate of 10.1 Gbit/s over electrical ports on the RHUB5921. The maximum Ethernet cable length between the RHUB5921 and a pRRU is 100 meters but can be extended to 200 meters using a 10.1 Gbit/s extender.
