Data is the engine for switching over to digital and intelligent transformation. AI, big data, and high-performance computing are driving the explosive growth of data, placing a greater demand on data infrastructure.
The New-Generation All-Flash Data Center solution pioneers an All-Flash approach for all scenarios, encompassing mission-critical services, large AI model training, data analytics, and data backup. This solution delivers excellent IOPS and ultra-low latency, supercharging data transfer rates and data center performance and resilience. It is perfect for accelerating digital and intelligent transformation in sectors like finance, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and MSPs.
The New-Generation solution delivers comprehensive upgrades in product performance and solution capabilities, providing enterprises with more choices to tackle challenges in the AI era.
• For mission-critical services, the New-Gen OceanStor Dorado All-Flash Storage uses the industry's first data-control plane separation architecture to achieve three-fold faster performance. This setup also runs dedicated AI accelerator cards, which deliver over 100 million IOPS, and SmartMatrix 4.0 full-mesh design for 99.999999% reliability.
• For large AI models, the New-Gen OceanStor A800 AI Storage provides up to 500 GB/s bandwidth to improve the computing power utilization of training clusters by 30%.
• Data analytics is powered by Huawei's New-Gen OceanStor Pacific 9928 All-Flash Scale-Out Storage, which offers an ultra-high density of 4 PB in 2 U space at just 0.25 watt per TB, marking a record in energy efficiency.
• In terms of data backup, Huawei launched the OceanProtect E series, which is a new-gen All-Flash backup storage. It enables both short-term backup and long-term archiving without data migration. Its data deduplication and compression ratio reaches up to 72:1, over 20% higher than the industry's next best.
• Data resilience is taken to a new level. The ransomware detection rate reaches an industry-leading 99.99%, and the Huawei multilayer ransomware protection solution leads the industry with seamless collaboration across cloud, network, and storage.
At this forum, Huawei also revealed three technological innovations in the New-Generation All-Flash Data Center solution.
• Architecture innovation. Huawei has innovatively separated data and control planes and developed a parallel architecture with diverse computing power. The OceanDisk smart disk enclosure built on the innovative diskless architecture is designed to create green, energy-efficient, resilient, and reliable cloud and Internet data centers. Additionally, the integrated backup and archive architecture takes storage to the next level—it's the first all-in-one storage system that combines both backup and archive functions.
• Algorithm innovation.Huawei takes system problems and translates them into mathematical logic. This has yielded innovative performance algorithms like AI-powered cache, reliability algorithms such as data error correction, and efficiency algorithms like high-ratio EC algorithms.
• Media application innovation:The collaborative hardware-software optimization provides a foundation for developing storage technology. Stacking and packaging technology achieves the highest density storage, while failure tolerance ensures the lowest bit error rate.
"As data volumes surge to double by 2028, the intelligence-digitalization era demands faster realization of data's value. The All-Flash Datacenter delivers the performance, security, and intelligent management needed for critical workloads, from business applications to data analysis. It's a core foundation for the future of digital infrastructure," remarked Shahin Hashim, Associate Research Director, Digital Infrastructure at IDC.
Michael Qiu, President of Huawei Global Data Storage Marketing & Solution Sales Dept., said, "Industry's digital and intelligent transformation demands efficient data processing as well as secure and high-quality data. The New-Generation All-Flash Data Center significantly improves data service efficiency and enhances data resilience, helping enterprises embrace the AI era."
Over 26,000 customers from more than 150 countries and regions have purchased and deployed Huawei data storage to safeguard an impressive 30,000 PB of data. Notably, 53 of the world's top 100 banks have chosen to partner with Huawei, reflecting the strong trust they place in the company.
