[Shanghai, China, September 19, 2024] On the first day of HUAWEI CONNECT 2024, the highly anticipated Huawei Intelligent Finance Summit 2024 was held. Under the theme of Boost Resilience, Reshaping Smarter Finance Together, this summit explored how to build financial resilience for the AI era. Jason Cao, CEO of Digital Finance BU, Huawei, stated that AI is profoundly transforming the world and the opportunities brought by generative AI are boundless and exciting. Top global financial institutions are transitioning from Doing Digital to Doing AI. Currently, we have two priorities: 1. Enhance E2E resilience based on the user journey to help financial institutions build a rock-solid digital foundation; and 2. Promote the value realization of core AI scenarios and develop a new growth engine to create future-oriented competitiveness.

Releasing the Financial Data Intelligence Solution 5.0 and applying AI to over 100 financial scenarios

Over the past year, Huawei has collaborated with leading financial institutions and jointly implemented AI in more than 100 scenarios. Intelligent applications are transforming from "+AI" enablement to "AI+" production, with large models reshaping financial applications, terminal interactions, and business models.

Jason Cao highlighted six key factors for achieving closed-loop business in financial AI: specifying the strategy, adapting the organization, preparing talent, identifying high-value scenarios, defining a robust architecture, and building engineering capabilities crucial for implementing financial scenarios.

Huawei's commitment to its intelligence strategy is underscored by the release of Financial Data Intelligence Solution 5.0. This solution aims to create a leading unified data platform integrated with AI, a reliable intelligent computing architecture, a comprehensive toolchain, and extensive engineering practices. Huawei is also developing four types of partners — those who deal with applications, data, models, and services — to offer scenario-specific solutions. The goal is to address the uncertainties of intelligent development with strategic and architectural certainty, finding the best path to intelligence together with customers and partners.

Announcing eight resilience solutions and Digital CORE Solution 5.0 to build E2E resilience based on the user journey

In the AI era, financial institutions must boost resilience with the user journey in mind. Huawei has announced eight solutions and 4 Zeros to redefine financial-grade resilience, including Zero Trust for E2E security, Zero Wait for fast and low-latency transactions, Zero Downtime for always-on services, and Zero Touch for autonomous operations.

To address challenges in resilience, migration, and efficiency when it comes to modernizing mainframe applications, Huawei has strategically invested in cloud migration for mainframes, focused on nine key technological domains, and released the Digital CORE Solution 5.0. This solution has upgraded 12 capabilities across four aspects: platforms, applications, data, and migration, which deliver superb resilience, effectiveness, and processes.
