Huawei DCN Helps Enterprises Reach the Multi-Cloud, Diversified Computing Era with Software and Hardware Breakthroughs

Feb 28, 2023

[Barcelona, Spain, February 28, 2023] During the 2023 Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023), Huawei launched the upgraded Easy CloudFabric Solution with software and hardware breakthroughs. Specifically, Huawei released the industry's first data center switch built for diversified computing power — CloudEngine 16800-X, aiming to help customers across industries to move towards the diversified computing era. Together with a pioneering customer, Huawei also launched the industry-leading L3.5+ data center autonomous driving network solution, which achieves high convergence of applications and networks while also creating ultimate experience for multi-cloud, heterogeneous networks with new enhancements to easy evolution, deployment, and operations and maintenance (O&M) capabilities.

As digitalization gathers pace, more and more industries are entering the multi-cloud, diversified computing era. Diversified computing power will continue to grow rapidly in the next five years. An example is the popular ultra-large model training, which relies heavily on powerful computing. In addition, more enterprises choose to move to clouds, and cloudification has already become an industry consensus. Against this backdrop, enterprise customers are urgently looking for ways to integrate diversified computing power and centrally manage multi-cloud, heterogeneous networks in order to achieve high network automation and provide differentiated connection quality for diversified services.

To help enterprises address these challenges, Huawei upgraded the Easy CloudFabric Solution to provide ultimate experience in the multi-cloud, diversified computing era.

To begin with, Huawei launched the industry's first data center switch built for diversified computing power, CloudEngine 16800-X, which provides three differentiators:

• Ultra-high convergence, reducing the total cost of operation (TCO) by 36%

• Ultra-fast network, improving application performance by 20% in all scenarios

• Ultra-high performance, supporting smooth network evolution in the next 10 years with 800GE ready capabilities

Huawei also joined hands with Telconet LATAM, Ecuador to upgrade the data center autonomous driving network and released the L3.5+ data center autonomous driving network solution. The core component iMaster-NCE of the solution introduces digital map technology to build one high-precision digital map for multi-cloud, heterogeneous networks. This achieves network visibility in five dimensions (geographic location, service, application, topology, and device) and one-click service path navigation, thereby supporting visualized service decision-making with fully digital networks. The solution also supports undifferentiated simulation in seconds, ensuring 100% accuracy of cross-cloud, heterogeneous network changes.

Huawei Easy CloudFabric Solution is the preferred choice for customers thanks to its technical innovations. Currently, it is widely used in industries such as finance, public services, manufacturing, and education. Looking ahead, Huawei will continue to work with industry partners to strengthen the construction of the autonomous driving network evaluation system and guide network upgrade towards automation and intelligence as well as intergenerational network evolution. All of these efforts are designed to accelerate enterprise digital transformation and help customers achieve business success.
