[Shanghai, China, September 21, 2023] At HUAWEI CONNECT 2023, Huawei launched its Campus Digital Platform(Lite) for markets outside China. Together with enterprise leaders, industry partners, and technical experts, Huawei discussed how various industries can capitalize on information and communications technologies (ICTs) to accelerate digitalization and intelligence for campuses.
Kevin Su, CEO of Huawei Campus Team, delivered a keynote speech at the event. He said that the campus is a basic unit of the city and the cornerstone of building an intelligent world. "We should digitalize campuses centering around the enterprise architecture methodology as it covers business, information, and technology," He explained. Looking towards the future, with the reference architecture for intelligence at the forefront, Huawei will work with partners to redefine campus with ICTs and stride towards an intelligent world.
Global campuses often suffer from multiple isolated systems, siloed data, and taxing O&M during digitalization. Huawei's Campus Digital Platform(Lite) can smoothen the process. It combines a wide range of state-of-the-art products, including FusionCube, eCampusCore, switches, and containers. On top of this, it delivers agile IoT and ultimate convergence, helping campuses achieve smart management and operations.
Liu Zhenhua, Director of the Intelligent Campus Marketing & Solution Sales Dept of Huawei Enterprise BG, said that campuses across diverse industries are going to evolve into intelligent campuses with full connectivity and convergence. The Campus Digital Platform(Lite) converges IoT, resources, and O&M. It is tailored to help numerous industries build digital campuses at a faster pace.
Huawei launches the Campus Digital Platform(Lite)Zhao Xichen, University Librarian and Director of Information Technology Development Office of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) introduced the university's forward-thinking mindset about building a smart college campus "WeMust". She emphasized the importance of data and AI enablement, alongside the construction of platforms and an intelligent ecosystem. "Huawei provided us with simplified and reliable network connectivity, and helped us integrate data and services across the entire college so that we can stimulate innovation in teaching, scientific research, management, and service."
Wang Gang, Vice President of Chinasoft International, shared the ways in which they have worked with Huawei in recent years. He also said that in the future, Chinasoft International will continue to leverage its own advantages to jointly develop solutions for high-value industry scenarios, enhance product and service quality, and serve global campus customers together with Huawei.
Huawei has teamed up with industry experts and combined strengths from various industries to gain insight into future scenarios and technology trends of campuses, and has initiated the compilation of the report entitled Intelligent Campus 2030. The report clarifies visions and defines the blueprint for intelligent campuses over the next decade.
Release Ceremony of Key Technical Features of Intelligent Campus 2030Jiang Tao, a planning expert of Huawei Campus Team, introduced the background and framework of the report, which defines six key technical features for campus. He hopes the report will promote consensus across industries and act as a blueprint for future intelligent campuses.
