Int Global Partners recently teamed up with Huawei to deploy an innovative AI-powered optical fiber sensing solution, successfully applying it across more than 100 kilometers in Kazakhstan for improved management of perimeter inspection.

Located in Kazakhstan, International Global Partners LLP (Int Global Partners ) provides security systems, IT infrastructure solutions, telecommunications equipment, and software solutions. Int Global Partners recently teamed up with Huawei to deploy an innovative AI-powered optical fiber sensing solution, successfully applying it across more than 100 kilometers in Kazakhstan for improved management of perimeter inspection.

Challenge: Complex Terrain and Environmental Interference

In remote and ecologically sensitive regions, conventional perimeter monitoring methods are restricted by unpredictable environmental conditions and require real-time responsiveness.

With experience delivering infrastructure solutions across industries, Int Global Partners identified the need for a more intelligent approach to perimeter oversight in areas such as reserves, wetlands, and open terrain. Traditional monitoring systems struggle to achieve large-scale coverage and are prone to false alarms triggered by environmental factors like wind and wildlife.

Solution: Intelligent Fiber Sensing with Real-Time Responsiveness

Huawei’s optical fiber sensing solution offered a new approach. It uses ultra-sensitive fiber cables to detect subtle vibrations, functioning much like a human sensory system. The system then analyzes these signals through a multimodal AI model that filters out irrelevant stimuli and identifies meaningful interactions.

Key deployment benefits:

• In areas with fencing, fiber can be directly installed without additional infrastructure.

• In open terrain, fiber can be easily buried underground.

• AI algorithms ensure false alarms are minimized, with a rate of less than 1% even in extreme environments.

• During field application in Kazakhstan, the system identified disturbances within 2–3 seconds, with video providing visual confirmation within another 3 seconds, enabling quick and informed responses.

Why Huawei: Complete, Scalable, and Adaptive

Int Global Partners selected Huawei for its end-to-end, intelligent solution stack — encompassing sensing equipment, connectivity, and AI-based analytics. Huawei’s system continually learns and optimizes its performance, offering high accuracy with minimal false alerts (<1 time/km/day) and adaptability across complex terrains.

Future Outlook: Broader Environmental and Infrastructure Applications

Building on the success of this project, Int Global Partners plans to extend the collaboration with Huawei into areas like pipeline monitoring, transportation corridors, and industrial boundary sensing. Such efforts will help to further advance intelligent environmental awareness and infrastructure reliability.
