[Shanghai, China, September 19, 2025] During HUAWEI CONNECT 2025, Huawei held a summit themed "Beyond Digital, Resilience Empowers AI-infused Finance" for the financial industry. At the summit, Huawei launched FinAgent Booster (FAB) along with global showcases in banking, insurance, and securities. The aim was to help financial institutions use AI commercially in core scenarios, and to promote AI-powered business transformation.

Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, Delivering a Keynote Speech
Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, pointed out that hyper-personalization is a core feature of the intelligent era. AI is bringing structural changes to the financial industry. The service model is shifting from GUI reactive services to LUI proactive services. Human-machine collaboration is evolving from "people + tools" to "people + AI colleagues," creating a new model where "one person can complete tasks as a team." Knowledge is leveraged to help collaboration with AI agents, reshaping how risk management decisions are made. In addition, infrastructure is shifting from a sole focus on general-purpose computing to a dual emphasis on general-purpose and intelligent computing. We must neither underestimate the long-term value of AI for the financial industry, nor blindly overestimate its short-term value. Instead, we must proactively deploy and explore for the future, step by step.
Huawei is committed to promoting hardware openness and open-source software. In the AI era, we will be more open. Based on the intelligent computing power foundation, Huawei will continue to increase investment in upgrading AI agent platforms, LLMs, and scenarios. Huawei will also further cooperate with ecosystem partners to build a prosperous computing ecosystem in these three areas. By co-creating with customers, we will build capabilities around the foundation, LLMs, knowledge, platform & engineering, architecture, scenarios, talent, and ecosystem to help financial institutions implement AI.
Huawei is deepening AI innovation in top financial institutions across the world. We have implemented hundreds of application scenarios in operations, marketing, and customer-facing services, from efficiency improvement to value addition, from internal operations to customer-facing services, and from single applications to comprehensive solutions. Looking forward, Huawei will focus on resolving industry challenges, such as making breakthroughs in core scenarios like AI-powered customer engagement in mobile banking, and risk management agents, as well as leveraging AI for E2E operations support, in order to continue with the AI-business integration in depth.
To help more financial institutions efficiently implement agents, Huawei has accumulated AI innovation solutions, ecosystem practices, joint solutions with partners, and engineering experience. On this basis, Huawei has comprehensively upgraded its Financial Data Intelligence Solution 5.5 around agents and launched the FinAgent Booster (FAB) to tackle the complexity of AI implementation, and create simplicity for both customers and partners. FAB has three highlights as follows:
Easy to use: Based on the best practices of financial AI agent implementation, Huawei has created more than 50 types of innovative scenario workflows and demos to help financial institutions quickly realize their innovative business visions.
Ready to use: Working with partners, Huawei has accumulated over 150 financial MCPs, along with its extensive business domain knowledge, to help financial institutions flexibly assemble internal and external MCPs, and to build agent applications more efficiently.
Smooth to use: The next-generation intelligent computing is combined with the ModelArts Versatile agent platform to refine agent engineering processes and cope with complex engineering issues. For example, this has achieved more than 90% accuracy of intent recognition and millisecond-level latency of AI-powered customer-facing service.
The implementation effect of AI agents depends on comprehensive, full-element data governance and business domain knowledge extraction. Huawei has built the "R.A.C.E." data capabilities to support high-quality data import into the lake, data governance, and trusted circulation across all domains of finance in the digital era, establishing a reliable digital foundation. For the AI era, Huawei has further built a financial knowledge engine to convert knowledge in domains such as risk management into expertise that AI can digest, laying a solid foundation for AI application.
At this summit, Huawei launched a brand-new knowledge lakehouse solution to:
• Accelerate large-scale graph computing and multi-modal knowledge analysis.
• Carry out knowledge governance, extraction, and ontology modeling in one-stop mode on the DataArts Studio platform.
• Continuously enrich knowledge application innovation with partners.
We have worked with leading financial institutions to actively innovate practices, and build a new knowledge foundation for the AI era.
Knowledge, including our experience and semantics, is managed like data. The leap from data to knowledge allows AI to better understand financial services.
As AI agents enter every financial engagement and transaction, computing composition is being restructured with the focus shifting from general-purpose computing to intelligent computing. Huawei is building an active-active and multi-active intelligent computing foundation, a highly available agent platform, AI agent O&M throughout the process, and in-depth security against quantum and AI attacks to build next-generation resilience in the AI era.
At this summit, Huawei released four security solutions:
• Zero-Trust Campus Network with real-time dynamic authentication.
• Quantum Secure WAN to achieve quantum computing-resistant decryption.
• AI Training and Inference Protection to prevent inference LLM poisoning.
• Data Security Black Box to protect against extreme cyber attacks.
These solutions were created to support the upgrade of financial security capabilities during the era of AI.
One year after the launch of the RongHai Program, Huawei Digital Finance joined with RongHai partners to implement solutions in more than 20 countries. Together, they assisted global financial customers in new core system construction, data platform upgrades, and AI innovation. At this summit, Huawei launched the "RongHai Program · AI Navigation Initiative" to accelerate upgrades in all-domain scenario innovation, full-stack capability aggregation, and comprehensive resource collaboration.
Together with partners, we will continue to create AI innovations in more scenarios, such as customer acquisition via marketing, risk management decision-making, operations experience, investment research and advisory, and insurance claims, to promote intelligence across the financial industry.
To better stimulate financial industry communication and learning, set new financial benchmarks in the AI era, and create new industry models, Huawei, together with the BOCOM, China Pacific Insurance (CPIC), and Guotai Haitong Securities, has released three showcases of digital finance, drawing a blueprint and path for the digital and intelligent transformation of global financial institutions.

Huawei is unveiling global showcases in banking, insurance, and securities
The BOCOM and Huawei have worked together to deepen and consolidate AI construction, explore a new model for AI applications, and cultivate AI talent for the financial industry. The Joint Innovation Exhibition Center shows their close collaboration in strategy, scenario exploration, technological innovation, and talent cultivation.
The CPIC Technology Digital Exhibition Hall & CPIC AI Data Center presents Huawei's first large-scale training and inference computing platform solution for the insurance sector. The solution coordinates compute, network, storage, and cloud and supports over 20 AI applications. This global showcase delivers advanced concepts and practices for the insurance sector.
Together with Guotai Haitong Securities, Huawei developed the full-stack innovative distributed core securities system. After going live, the system overcame challenges brought by the market turmoil in 2024. The release of the global lighthouse showcase for digital and intelligent upgrade provides a replicable reference for the securities sector.
To date, Huawei has collaborated with more than 11,000 partners in the financial industry to serve more than 5,600 financial customers in over 80 countries and regions, including 53 of the world's top 100 banks.
