Cluster Management

VM Management
  • Provides historical and statistical curves of key indicators for the VM CPU, memory, and disk utilization, as well as the inbound/outbound traffic rate of NICs, disk read/write rate, and disk read/write latency. Therefore, O&M engineers can understand the historical running status of VMs
  • With eSight, O&M engineers can know the running status of all VMs under the same host, and then analyze the takeover situation of physical ports, CPUs, and memory resources, to determine whether the fault of a VM is caused by other VMs under the same host
  • Through topology views, eSight helps O&M engineers understand the associations between VMs, hosts, clusters, and cloud platform systems, as well as the associated resources status, alarm statistics, and KPIs, so that O&M engineers can quickly understand the association between the VM and the physical resources, and then locate faults
  • In the Network Element Manager, O&M engineers can analyze the inbound/outbound traffic volume of the VM, and can perform detailed analysis based on the specific time range, application, and session

Storage Network Analysis
  • Displays the status of connections between storage devices and the network, as well as that of hosts, switches, and storage devices on the network clearly to help O&M engineers determine fault impacts, improving fault diagnosis efficiency
Visualized Resources
  • Resource view: Visually displays the logical relationships between ports of devices, controllers, LUNs, block storage pool, and disks.
  • Mapping view: Visually displays the mapping relationships between LUNs, host groups, hosts (initiators), port groups, and ports.
Storage Report
  • Capacity reports for SAN: Includes those for arrays, LUNs, storage pools, thin LUNs, and thin pools.
  • Capacity reports for NAS: Includes those for storage units, thin pools, thin LUNs, file engines, file storage pools, file system shares, file systems, and data disks.
  • Performance statistical reports: Includes those for controllers, front-end hosts’ ports, disks, storage pools, and LUNs.
  • Capacity prediction reports: Includes those for the capacity trends over one day, one week, or one month.
Health Evaluation
  • Based on the status of physical and logical components, faults, as well as alarms and performances, an evaluation model can be developed to give health evaluation scores for storage devices and to locate problems.
Heterogeneous Device Management
  • Manages storage devices of EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP, Inspur, DFT, and Sugon, as well as switches of Brocade and QLogic FC.
