    Huawei Wi-Fi 6 ranks No. 1 in the global market (excluding North America), according to the report on global Wi-Fi 6 indoor Access Point (AP) market share, from 2018 Q3 to 2019 Q3, by Dell'Oro Group, a leading independent market analysis and research firm.

    The report shows that the overall revenue of the global Wi-Fi 6 market expanded rapidly in the first three quarters of 2019, growing to 30 times that of 2018. This signifies that 2019 is the first year of commercial adoption for Wi-Fi 6.

    Huawei is a leader in the Wi-Fi 6 market. With AirEngine Wi-Fi 6, Huawei took the lead in deploying the industry's first enterprise-class Wi-Fi 6 network in Shanghai as early as 2018. Since then, Huawei AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 has been put into large-scale commercial use across diverse countries and regions such as Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, South Africa, China, and India.

    Wi-Fi 6, the sixth generation of the Wi-Fi standard, introduces key 5G technologies, such as Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA), uplink Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO), and higher-order coding 1024-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM). As such, Wi-Fi 6 offers four times higher network bandwidth and supports four times more concurrent users than Wi-Fi 5, as well as reducing the average network latency from 30 ms to 20 ms. Huawei experts are also chairpersons of five 802.11 standards working groups. With extensive understanding and strong expertise in 5G technologies, Huawei is a major contributor to Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax) standards.
