Huawei and Shenzhen Welkin School Launch the Global Smart Education Showcase

[Shenzhen, China, September 22, 2025] The Huawei Global Smart Education Showcase was officially unveiled at Shenzhen Welkin School, against the backdrop of rapid digital transformation in the global education sector. The unveiling ceremony, jointly hosted by Huawei and Shenzhen Welkin School, brought together over 100 education industry customers and partners from China, Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia to witness this new milestone in smart education development.

Gong Weidong, Principal of Shenzhen Welkin School; Chen Hao, Vice Principal of Shenzhen Welkin School; Tang Xingchu, Chief Advisor of Shenzhen Welkin School; Vincent Liu, President of Huawei's Global Enterprise Network Marketing & Solution Sales Department; Liu Gui, Director of Huawei's Guangzhou Shenzhen Government & Enterprise Marketing & Solution Sales Department; and Xu Mingbo, Marketing Director of Huawei's Global Enterprise Network Marketing & Solution Sales Department unveiled the benchmark showcase together.

In the speech, Vincent Liu, President of Huawei's Global Enterprise Network Marketing & Solution Sales Department, stated, "The education sector is entering a fast track of intelligent development. Huawei is committed to delivering better educational experiences through continuous innovation in high-quality campus networks and metropolitan education networks, supporting the rollout of new education paradigms across more regions."

Gong Weidong, Principal of Shenzhen Welkin School, shared the school's development journey and digital transformation practices. He highlighted the innovative "One City, Two Companions, Three Collaborative Activities" education model, where "Two Companions" refer to the inter-school study companion and intelligent learning companion and "Three Collaborative Activities" indicate collaborative lesson preparation, research, and teaching across different schools. This new paradigm breaks the limitations of time and space, reshapes the teaching experience, and promotes equitable education.

Shenzhen Welkin School is a key part of Shenzhen's efforts to build a national pilot zone for basic education reform, a national-level smart teaching innovation hub, and a demonstration zone for smart education. It's also a flagship project under the 14th Five-Year Plan for Shenzhen Education Development. In 2024, Shenzhen Welkin School was awarded the UNESCO Global Smart Education Innovation Prize in recognition of its pioneering practices.

The showcase at Shenzhen Welkin School is the world's first to adopt Huawei's full-stack high-quality campus network and smart classroom solutions. It has delivered exemplary real-world applications such as cloud classrooms and IP campus networks for primary and secondary schools. The launch of this showcase marks the transition of smart education from conceptual exploration to large-scale adoption.
