As UNUSA develops its new campus facilities—which include the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Faculty of Health, Faculty of Economics, Business and Digital Technology, and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education—it faces a key challenge: how to establish an infrastructure that supports modern educational methods while meeting the evolving needs of digitally savvy students.

From Strategy to Deployment: The Four-Phase Huawei Approach

Huawei’s collaboration with UNUSA followed a proven, structured pathway to ensure strategic alignment, smooth deployment, and measurable outcomes:

1. Strategic Alignment
Huawei engaged with UNUSA’s leadership to align the Smart Classroom initiative with the university’s broader digital campus roadmap. Joint workshops with academic and IT teams ensured that every feature addressed real teaching needs and prioritized user experience.

2. Site Assessment
In partnership with a local system integrator, Huawei surveyed classrooms to evaluate layouts, connectivity readiness, and environmental conditions. The findings shaped a deployment model tailored to classroom sizes and teaching styles. 

3. POC Testing & Solution Architecture
Huawei designed a Smart Classroom architecture referencing its global Smart Education Solution standards—integrating hybrid learning capabilities, IoT controls, and centralized management. A live Proof of Concept (POC) allowed teachers to test features in real scenarios, giving feedback for optimization. 

4. Full Implementation
In just two months, Huawei delivered 10 fully operational Smart Classrooms powered by Huawei IdeaHub at the core. The solution included: 

• Smart scheduling & booking systems

• IoT automation for lighting, devices, and energy management

• Seamless integration with UNUSA’s existing platforms
