Founded in 1996, Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (KTC) operates a credit card business that offers credit card and personal loan services. As of December 2019, KTC had a total of 3.4 million credit card and personal loan accounts. To sustain business growth, the card issuer’s strategy focuses on building its membership base to ensure great user experience across all services.
A firm advocate in constant development through technologies and innovations, KTC works closely with its partners to develop digital technology that is safe, fast, and reliable for both employees and customers. It also places great importance on identifying outdated and inefficient work processes and promptly replacing them with the new approach to guarantee efficiency in the workplace.
COVID-19: The Ultimate Catalyst for KTC’s Digital Workplace Transformation
In 2019, KTC gradually rolled out its “Digital Workplace” business model that focuses on developing a virtual work environment, where employees can confidently and safely adopt a more agile approach to work. With the ongoing pandemic that began in early 2020, the firm felt an urgent need to implement reliable remote work solutions and high-speed network connectivity to support workplace flexibility and protect the health and wellbeing of its staff.
With over 1,200 employees working in two different office buildings, as well as from individual homes, KTC seeks to install integrated solutions that enhance agility, efficiency and security across all operations. Under this new work-from-anywhere policy, the solutions used should also promote flexible working in a productive way.
Taking KTC’s requirements into consideration, Huawei proposed two industry-leading solutions to help KTC achieve its goal to fully transform its offices into a digital workspace.
1. Huawei Campus Network Solution offers a platform for employees to access data, clouds, and data centers, enabling a centralized management system at KTC’s two operating offices: United Business Center II Building and Thai Summit Building. The solution comes with an extensive range of products for a high-speed experience in the workplace including:
2. Huawei VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) Solution:Huawei provided KTC employees with access to this cloud-based desktop solution, offering on-demand resource management. This VDI virtualizes and centralizes the computing and storage resources (including CPU, hard drive, and memory) of PCs into a cloud computing data center so that users can securely access their own "virtual PCs" from anywhere.
The two solutions implemented by Huawei helped KTC build a strong Digital Workplace ecosystem in the time of COVID-19 pandemic. The tailor-made solutions improved day-to-day operations of KTC staff, resulting in a faster and more satisfying experience for its customers. Moreover, Huawei’s solutions are offered on a pay-per-use basis, helping KTC optimize ICT cost management. The well-built digital infrastructure provided by Huawei also leaves room for solution expansion in the future.
