Converged IP Industrial Network

Traditional service bearer networks in mines now face far too many challenges. For starters, industrial switch networks don't support 5G bearer network technology. Add to that, low ring network bandwidth, poor underground Wi-Fi coverage, and limited network scalability, and mines are struggling, and limited network scalability, and mines are struggling.

Production and office networks suffer from weak borders, too, with network monitoring and auditing methods that aren't good enough. Network security is simply not fit for task and, with multiple ring networks coexisting, maintenance is a real headache. Indeed, given that traditional networks like this are also unable to measure service quality, overall Operations and Maintenance (O&M) is hopelessly inefficient.

In this context, Huawei's Converged IP Industrial Network Solution, based on router products, brings significant benefits to mining enterprises.     One-Network Bearer

    The Huawei Converged IP Industrial Network Solution uses network slicing technology to divide physical networks into multiple network slices, including 5G bearer, industrial control service, and video service slices. Resources are strictly isolated, preventing bandwidth preemption and slice congestion. Other slice services remains unaffected. 
    The solution uses routers to build an underground ultra-broadband integrated bearer network. The backbone ring network's bandwidth reaches 50–100 Gbit/s, meeting the service traffic expansion requirements of smart mines over the next 5 to 10 years.

    One-Click O&M

    Intelligent and predictive analysis and fault diagnosis is performed using iMaster NCE, Huawei's next generation autonomous driving network management and control system for campus networks. This platform deploys and manages network devices in mines, performing Software-Defined Network (SDN)-based centralized path computation and path optimization.
    iMaster NCE works with the in-band Flow Information Telemetry (iFIT) feature of routers to visualize service flows and Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance, locating network faults in minutes.
