This unified packet gateway for mobile Packet-Switched (PS) networks is a core of element of PS services in GSM-R networks. The UGW9811 combines the functions of multiple gateways in a single platform, yet you can still manage it conveniently as a single gateway.
For GSM-R networks, the UGW9811 functions as a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN). The system can also be used as a gateway for evolving to eLTE broadband services.
