NetEngine9000s, the industry’s largest petabit-capacity routers, use Huawei-proprietary Solar chipsets. Non-blocking switching technologies based on the CLOS distributed switching architecture provide excellent line-speed forwarding performance. The NetEngine9000E router can be used in a wide range of SDN applications, such as real-time traffic optimization, IP + optical synergy, and DCI E2E service provisioning. With a continuously improving industry-leading platform, a well-designed QoS mechanism, and carrier-class reliability, NetEngine9000s easily overcomes the new interconnection challenges now facing backbone networks.
NetEngine9000s are equipped with an industry-leading 28G backplane, which can be expanded to 56G or even 112G in the future. Capacity is four times the industry average: 4T (evolvable to 8T) per slot and 80T (evolvable to 160T) per chassis.
NetEngine9000s automate and optimize network traffic and, based on bandwidth and latency, improve bandwidth utilization by 50%. The routers provide IP + optical multiple-layer planning and restoration, which reduces TCO by 40%. NetEngine9000s also permit rapid E2E service provisioning across DCI and DCN networks, which shortens TTM.
NetEngine9000E line cards use Huawei-proprietary Solar 5.0 chipsets. The highly integrated cards feature three-level frequency shifting, automatic ATOM control, low power consumption (0.4 W/G; half the industry average), and floating heat dissipation, which improves heat dissipation by 30%.
