Huawei Firewall Earns Highest "Recommended" Rating in First Public Test by Wuhan Huanghe Laboratory

[Beijing, China, November 20, 2025] Wuhan Huanghe Laboratory (hereinafter "Huanghe Lab") has released the results of its first public security evaluation of firewall products. The findings show that Huawei's USG6725F (V600R024C10SPC100) firewall performed outstandingly in both security functionality and performance testing, successfully passing the public evaluation and receiving the highest "Recommended" security rating. This evaluation aims to help enterprises gain a comprehensive understanding of their products, identify potential security risks and compliance issues, improve the overall quality and performance of network security products, and ensure stable and secure operation in complex and evolving network environments.

As a national network security lab of Wuhan Data Group, Huanghe Lab is dedicated to network security technology R&D, testing services, and industry ecosystem construction. It is an authoritative evaluation organization in China. The public test was conducted in accordance with China's national information security standards such as GB/T 20281-2015: Information security technology - Security technical requirements and testing assessment approaches for firewall, the Network Device Security Grading Technical Requirements issued by the Cyber Security Association of China, and Huanghe Lab's own Public Test Program for Network Security Products NGFW v1.0. The evaluation focused on two major categories: security functionality and vulnerability testing. Security functionality tests covered identity and access management, key management, cryptographic algorithms, and throughput. Vulnerability tests assessed system availability, integrity, confidentiality, and impact on production. Eight mainstream vendors participated in the public test.
