FTTO for Education Campuses: A Green and Minimalist Campus Network

Huawei's FTTO Solution for Education Campuses, based on PON technology, replaces traditional aggregation switches with both passive optical splitters, and access switches with optical terminals (ONUs). Optical fibers can be extended directly to rooms or desktops, greatly reducing horizontal cabling and lowering overall network energy use. Optical terminals are available in various specifications to suit different campus application scenarios. With FTTO technology, the solution enables reliable, high-bandwidth, and wide-coverage networks that support the unified carriage of multiple services.
