Huawei Launches Upgraded Data Storage Products and Solutions for Latin America

[Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, May 15, 2026] At the Data Storage Summit held during Huawei Latam Eco-Connect 2026, upgraded Huawei data storage products and solutions for Latin America were announced. Huawei aims to help customers in Latin America build resilient, data-centric AI data infrastructure—powered by storage and AI synergy—to boost quality and efficiency, accelerate AI adoption, and strengthen data protection.

AI Data Lake Solution: Designed for AI corpus preparation, this solution integrates data storage, data management, resource management, and the AI toolchain to accelerate the supply of high-quality data. It uses upgraded OceanStor Pacific 9928 all-flash scale-out storage as the foundation, which delivers doubled capacity density (up to 4 PB/2 U), low power consumption (0.25 W/TB), and 4 times higher performance density than the industry benchmark. This enables customers to store mass data at low TCO.

AI Data Platform: Huawei has pioneered a 3 + 1 AI data platform that integrates the knowledge base, KV cache store, and memory bank. This platform uses Huawei's Unified Cache Manager (UCM) to achieve high-precision knowledge retrieval of over 95%, reduce the time to first token (TTFT) by 90%, and perform long-horizon inference on a weekly basis. This enables enterprises to supply higher-quality data to AI and supports the deployment of agent applications.

AI for Storage: Using AI to Expand Storage Capabilities

New-Gen OceanStor Dorado Converged All-Flash Storage: Thanks to comprehensive software and hardware upgrades, a converged architecture for block, file, and object services now delivers superb performance. SmartMatrix full-mesh architecture, along with the unique integrated SAN-NAS-S3 active-active setup, achieves up to 99.99999% single-system reliability. Additionally, AI boosts storage performance and energy efficiency. Based on built-in intelligent cache algorithms, the system proactively analyzes and learns the input/output (I/O) patterns of multiple application models, improving the cache hit rate by 50%. Furthermore, the intelligent power management feature uses AI models to proactively identify workload characteristics and dynamically optimize power consumption for key components such as central processing units (CPUs) and disks, delivering 30% higher input/output operations per second (IOPS) per watt, compared to industry alternatives.

iMaster DME Data Center Management Software: DataMaster, a new operations and maintenance (O&M) agent, enhances the O&M experience through AgenticOps. It supports 80% of routine O&M operations using natural languages and uses small models for disk fault prediction and log analysis to strengthen risk prevention. Utilizing built-in knowledge bases, it also assists root cause locating and troubleshooting for failures, enabling fault recovery within minutes.

OceanProtect Backup Storage: New OceanProtect X8100/X9100 Backup Storage delivers 50% higher backup performance than the previous generation and achieves a data reduction ratio of up to 90:1. In addition, its built-in AI-powered ransomware detection modules significantly shorten detection time.

Ransomware Protection Storage Solution: Ransomware protection capabilities are integrated throughout the entire production and backup processes, enabling adaptive detection based on service loads and cross-device collaborative ransomware interception. Together, these innovative features safeguard data assets.
