North Africa Data Storage Summit | Huawei Launches New Intelligent Collaboration Solutions for Office and Education

[Cairo, Egypt, April 29, 2026] Huawei unveiled a series of new intelligent collaboration solutions tailored for office and education scenarios at a Data Storage Summit which was held as part of the Huawei Intelligent Africa Congress. These solutions are designed to advance digital and intelligent transformation in Africa. The summit, themed "Reshape Data Infrastructure, Facilitate Intelligent Industrial Digital Advancement", brought together industry leaders, experts, and partners from around the world to explore how data infrastructure is evolving in the AI era.

Rock Qin, Vice President of Huawei Northern Africa (North, West & Central Africa), opened the event, saying that while AI is reshaping industries at an unprecedented pace, enterprises urgently need to strengthen their data foundations. He noted that the AI era is accelerating data awakening and highlighted how Huawei Data Storage is dedicated to reshaping data infrastructure while embracing the principles of "AI for Storage" and "Storage for AI". These efforts aim to enhance customer experience, support deeper AI adoption across industries, and unlock greater value from digital and intelligent transformation.

Muhammad Fathy, CTO of Banque du Caire, spoke at the summit, sharing how the bank had worked with Huawei to further the digital and intelligent transformation. The bank has used Huawei OceanStor Dorado all-flash storage to upgrade their data infrastructure, allowing it to now support massive volumes of production data and realize dual improvements in both performance and resilience.
