Huawei and Maxvision jointly launch smart customs solution at Eco-connect 2026 Latin America
At the conference, in response to the digital transformation needs of customs and ports in Latin American countries, Huawei and its partner Maxvision jointly launched the "Smart Regulation, Efficient Clearance" Smart Gate Solution for Customs.
Addressing key challenges in port clearance scenarios—such as low efficiency in manual review and release, difficulties in regulatory traceability, and insufficient standardization—Maxvision developed and implemented the Smart Gate Solution based on Huawei’s leading ICT infrastructure platform and artificial intelligence technologies. The solution enables unified management and monitoring of all national port gates, real-time automatic collection of vehicle clearance data, centralized release, and full-process video documentation for traceability.
The Huawei and Maxvision Smart Gate Solution reduces the time taken to pass through checkpoints from an average of 15 minutes to just 9 seconds, offering full visibility, traceability and significantly enhancing trade facilitation.
Looking ahead, Huawei will continue to leverage its strengths in ICT infrastructure, working closely with partners to deepen its presence in the Latin American market and support the high-quality digital development of customs across the region.
