[Barcelona, Spain, March 3, 2025] At MWC Barcelona 2025, Huawei and COM.TEL jointly launched Data Center Disaster Recovery & Backup Service Solution 3.0, a cutting-edge offering that elevates end-to-end disaster recovery (DR) and backup service capabilities across consulting, integration, and drills.

Huawei strives to develop top-tier data center DR and backup service solutions. Over the past few years, Huawei has successfully completed numerous projects and conducted extensive research on industry standards to provide innovative DR services featuring 1-minute intelligent awareness, 5-minute assisted decision-making, and 20-minute agile restoration.

Built upon the iDRP platform and three distinct types of DR services, Data Center Disaster Recovery & Backup Service Solution 3.0 boasts three high-value features: DR architecture robustness evaluation, intra-city automatic GaussDB switchover, and regular DR drills.

• DR architecture robustness evaluation: Leveraging professional evaluation models and tool templates, the solution effectively identifies key DR risks and provides optimization suggestions, helping customers build a highly reliable data center system architecture from service applications to computing, network, and storage infrastructure. The solution also provides professional data center DR level evaluation reports grounded in industry data center reliability standards and specifications.

• Intra-city automatic GaussDB switchover: Solution 3.0 enables seamless intra-city automatic switchover for GaussDB clusters, ensuring excellent service experiences with zero data loss (RPO = 0) and rapid service recovery (RTO < 90 seconds).

• Regular DR drills: The new version upgrades from supporting fixed-content routine DR drills to enabling high-frequency, variable-content DR drills. In addition, it supports red-blue team simulation drills to promptly identify potential risks and maintain the customer's data center in an optimal DR state at all times.

It is worth noting that the iDRP one-stop DR management platform has been significantly enhanced, with more than 100 upgraded fault model libraries as well as failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) algorithms. This upgrade has notably improved the platform's capabilities, including end-to-end visualized resource management, intelligent analysis, assisted decision-making, and one-click switchover, resulting in greatly enhanced DR management efficiency for customers.
