[Barcelona, Spain, March 3, 2026] At MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei unveiled the Xinghe AI Full-Scope Security Campus Solution during the Intelligent Campus Forum themed "Building AI Campuses Together to Achieve All Intelligence." This future-ready solution is designed to reshape the boundaries of campus network security capabilities and enable full-scope collaboration and multi-dimensional protection across the digital and physical worlds. Huawei also announced the first commercial release of the AirEngine Pre Wi-Fi 8 AP, marking another milestone in wireless reliability, performance, and mobile experience. This innovation will redefine wireless access standards in the AI era and lead the development of industry intelligence.

Shawn Zhao, President of the Campus Network Domain, Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, said, "In the AI era, campus networks are not only the fundamental cornerstone of the digital and intelligent transformation of industries, but also the secure hub connecting the digital and physical worlds. Huawei has launched the Xinghe AI Full-Scope Security Campus Solution that stands out with asset security, connectivity security, spatial security, and privacy security."
• Asset security: In industries such as government and finance, the increase in dumb terminals has heightened the risk of network attacks. In response, Huawei's solution leverages clustering identification to automatically recognize dumb terminals with 95% accuracy. By combining terminal behavior anomaly detection with local inference on switches, the solution can detect terminal behavior anomalies in seconds and proactively block them, effectively preventing network intrusions.
• Connectivity security: Huawei's solution harnesses exclusive Wi-Fi Shield technology to eliminate the risk of data eavesdropping at the physical layer. It also employs end-to-end MACsec and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) algorithms to provide long-term security assurance for data transmission, even as quantum computing matures.
• Spatial security: Huawei's solution draws on an intelligent Wi-Fi CSI technology to detect the status of spatial security on a campus network through a single wireless Access Point (AP), thereby detecting unauthorized activities in seconds. While safeguarding spatial security, this technology also maximizes the protection of personal privacy.
• Privacy security: Traditional detection and protection methods against illegal imaging devices are often inefficient and prone to high miss rates. Huawei is tackling this by launching the iGuard AP, which offers three key advantages—comprehensive detection, precise detection, and 24/7 operation—to safeguard trade secrets and personal privacy in private places such as executive offices and hotel rooms.
At the same event, Huawei also showcased many innovative campus network products, including the following.
• First commercial release of the AirEngine Pre Wi-Fi 8 AP: Delivering significant improvements in network speed and reliability, this AP establishes wireless as a production-grade foundation for AI services. It introduces three core technologies that make a real difference. Specifically, Intelligent Coordinated Scheduling and Spatial Reuse (iCSSR)—a multi-AP collaboration technology—reduces co-channel interference across the entire network while doubling network performance under 160/320 MHz deployments. Smart Beamforming (Smart BF) technology addresses unstable signals in mobile scenarios within milliseconds and performing directional enhancement, ultimately ensuring no speed degradation in terminal mobility environments. Advanced Same Frequency Network (ASFN) zero-roaming technology virtualizes multiple APs into a single super AP, enabling seamless roaming across the network with zero packet loss.
• First release of the CloudEngine twins switches: To prevent access failures for single-uplink endpoints, Huawei's twins switches (twin-engine switches) adopt a multi-switching matrix architecture that enables dual-plane operation within one device. This design ensures sub-second fault recovery and seamless, zero-downtime upgrades, delivering customers a high-performance, highly reliable network experience with uninterrupted services.
