Produits, solutions et services pour les entreprises
[Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 18, 2023] During GITEX Global 2023, Huawei held an Internet service provider (ISP) panel discussion themed "Explore New Ideas for ISP Breakthrough Development". The roundtable brought together industry leaders, technical experts, and partners to discuss new development opportunities for ISPs toward an era of All Intelligence. Experts discussed how Huawei's products and innovative solutions can help the industry build a 10-Gigabit, service-oriented, and intelligent next-generation Internet.
Eric Li, Vice President of Marketing & Solutions Sales, Enterprise Business Group, HuaweiEric Li, Vice President of Marketing & Solutions Sales, Enterprise Business Group, Huawei, delivered a welcome speech at the roundtable. According to him, the first step to implement the All Intelligence strategy is to make all things connected. This isn't just about physical objects, but also logical and virtual objects; it includes both digital equipment and traditional terminals and devices; this also means data can be passed up, and intent can be passed down. These changes bring new development opportunities to the ISP industry, especially in domains like home broadband access and enterprise private line services.
Gavin Gu, President of Optical Business Domain, Enterprise Business Group, HuaweiDuring the panel discussion, Gavin Gu, President of Optical Business Domain, Enterprise Business Group, Huawei said that the F5G all-optical network meets the connection requirements of the digital era and accelerates intelligent transformation. He highlighted the following key points:
• Ubiquitous all-optical 10-Gigabit access:Digital applications for homes are thriving, and bandwidth experience is extending from living rooms to bedrooms, studies, and even kitchens, enabling users to enjoy click-and-start video applications. All these require improved end-to-end service experience assurance and all-optical connections for gigabit access in each room. Therefore, ISPs must upgrade to 10-Gigabit-capable passive optical network (10G PON), which enables them to deliver Gigabit services through 10-Gigabit home networks with seamless coverage for the entire house.
• Transport network upgrades toward higher quality and bandwidth: With home broadband networks and enterprise private lines upgrading to 10-Gigabit ultra-broadband access, metropolitan optical transport networks (OTNs) need to be deployed to central offices (COs) and upgraded to a bandwidth of 100 Gbps, whereas backbone networks require 400 Gbps to ensure non-blocking ultra-broadband transport through improved capacity.
At Huawei, we understand that each ISP is developing their network at a different pace and has varied requirements, therefore we provide customized solutions for different phases of network development. Huawei analyzes ISPs' market requirements, identifies their challenges, establishes the network based on these unique service needs, and then develops F5G construction solutions that best meet their requirements. This is how Huawei creates new value together with the ISP customers and partners.
In the future, Huawei will continue to leverage its end-to-end ICT capabilities to enable ISPs in helping more enterprises in their transformation journey to embrace an intelligent world together.
