[Paris, France, October 18, 2022] Huawei shed light on the upgraded capabilities of its Intelligent Cloud-Network Solution at the session entitled "Intelligent Cloud-Network, Unleashing Digital Productivity", held during HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 in Paris. The capabilities cover three major scenarios — Campus Network (CloudCampus 3.0), Data Center Network (CloudFabric 3.0), and Wide Area Network (CloudWAN 3.0) — and were created in an effort to meet customers' changing requirements.
A digital wave has swept the world in recent years. In Europe, the European Union (EU) took the lead in releasing the 2030 Digital Compass: the European Way for the Digital Decade. Most of countries in Europe, including France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, have formulated their own digital strategies and action plans, which have greatly promoted the digitalization process of all industries.
As industry digitalization advances, enterprise services continue to evolve and change, which poses higher and stricter requirements on network infrastructure.
First, network connections are being extended from office terminals to production equipment and IoT terminals, requiring ultra-large bandwidth, ultra-low latency, and ubiquitous network coverage.
Second, enterprise branches are gradually moving to the cloud, requiring efficient branch network deployment and O&M as well as fast cloud interconnection capabilities to ensure user service experience.
Third, to meet customers' differentiated requirements, the rollout scale of new services is increasing and the service changes are more frequent. Therefore, the network must be more agile, secure, and efficient to meet the requirements for fast rollout and adjustment of services.
Finally, multimedia services, such as HD conferences, are becoming increasingly popular, requiring higher bandwidth and lower jitter. The network must be able to provide deterministic experience assurance for users on the entire network.
Todd Sun, Vice President of Huawei's West European Enterprise Marketing & Solution Sales Department, delivers a speech entitled "Intelligent Cloud-Network, Accelerating Industry Digital Transformation"
Todd Sun noted that Huawei has developed the Intelligent Cloud-Network Solution through continuous innovation to address the preceding challenges. This solution provides key capabilities such as ultimate access experience, ultra-fast branch access to the cloud, deterministic experience, and efficient, simplified deployment.
Currently, the Intelligent Cloud-Network Solution has been widely used in sectors such as public services, finance, education, retail, manufacturing, hospitality, logistics, healthcare, and MSP, facilitating digital transformation for customers.
At the session, Huawei also highlighted a number of new data communication products, such as the 400G-ready next-generation campus core switch CloudEngine S16700 and industry's first enterprise-class Wi-Fi 7 AP AirEngine 8771-X1T for high-quality campus network scenarios, the 4-in-1 universal-service intelligent router NetEngine 8000 M4 for WAN scenarios, and the High Availability Multicast (HAM) switches CloudEngine 8850-HAM and CloudEngine 6860-HAM for data center network scenarios.
CloudEngine S16700 series switches are industry-leading campus core switches which are designed for the fully-wireless intelligent era. They come with high densities of 10GE, 25GE, 40GE and 100GE ports, and their single-slot bandwidth can reach up to 14.4 Tbit/s, which is four times that of comparable devices in the industry. These strengths make CloudEngine S16700 ideal for smooth evolution of campus networks to 400 Gbit/s in the future. Furthermore, Huawei's innovative "Solar System" architecture simplifies the campus network from a traditional three-layer architecture into a two-layer one, greatly reducing the number of managed nodes, simplifying network management, and improving the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) efficiency of the campus network.
AirEngine 8771-X1T is the world's first enterprise-class Wi-Fi 7 AP. It is the fastest AP in the industry with up to 12 spatial streams — four spatial streams on each of the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz radios. With built-in dynamic-zoom smart antennas, the first-of-its-kind Wi-Fi 7 AP supports both omnidirectional and high-density modes, intelligently adapting to diverse scenarios.
NetEngine 8000 M4 is the ultra-compact universal-service aggregation router in the industry. This router is only 2 U high and 220 mm deep, saving 70% of space. With built-in SR, BRAS, CGN, and IPsec functions, NetEngine 8000 M4 supports SRv6 path programmability and FlexE hard slicing, ensuring bandwidth.
CloudEngine HAM data center switches (including CloudEngine 8850-HAM and CloudEngine 6860-HAM) are ideal for the securities, insurance, and high-end manufacturing sectors, helping enterprises build large-scale production and transaction systems. These switches stand out with adaptive port rates, from 10GE/25GE/50GE to 100GE/200GE/400GE, and provide industry-leading 32K multicast entries and 99.9999% multicast reliability.
Todd Sun said: "Drawing on these new products, we will make our Intelligent Cloud-Network Solution more simplified, more agile, and easier, helping our customers go digital and creating a better future together."
