[Barcelona, Spain, March 3, 2026] During MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei held a forum themed Building AI Campuses Together to Achieve All Intelligence, which brought together global business leaders, industry partners, and technical experts to discuss how new ICTs such as AI can be used to transform campuses. At the forum, Huawei, together with customers and partners, released the AI Campus white paper and Intelligent Office Space Solution.

Leon Wang, Vice President of Huawei and President of Huawei Data Communication Product Line
Leon Wang, Vice President of Huawei and President of Huawei Data Communication Product Line, said in his speech that AI is transforming campuses into intelligent actors that can perceive and think. According to him, Huawei is innovating in campus solutions following two directions. The first is making campuses more intelligent; Huawei is spearheading the commercial deployment of Pre Wi-Fi 8, providing customers with an ultra-premium network experience to fortify the foundation of connectivity. Additionally, Huawei's campus digital platform comes with over 200 pre-built data models, and makes intelligence an essential part of operations. The second direction is in making campuses more secure. From assets and connections to spaces and privacy, Huawei is building full-scope security that spans both the digital and physical worlds. "Huawei would like to work with customers and partners worldwide to bring AI to every campus and bring about the age of AI," said Mr. Wang.

Eric He, CEO of Huawei Campus Team
Eric He, CEO of Huawei Campus Team, pointed out in his keynote that AI is rapidly transcending the digital realm and entering the physical world, while campuses are undergoing a profound evolution in both experience and operations through intelligent spaces. As noted by Eric, Huawei, relying on intelligent ICT infrastructure that can evolve, has built a "neural network" and "immune system" for campuses based on multi-dimensional sensing and full-scope security at the connectivity layer. At the platform layer, Huawei leverages data and intelligent services to consolidate the unified foundation. In terms of service models, with space as a medium, Huawei applies agents to various campus scenarios, allowing space to function as a service. "Remaining committed to openness and innovation, Huawei will work with customers and partners to build more future-oriented intelligent campuses and turn the AI Campus blueprint into a reality for every campus, reshaping how people work and live," Eric emphasized.

At this forum, Huawei and its customers officially released the AI Campus white paper. The white paper describes 11 types of campuses and 17 intelligent spaces, including intelligent office, production, guest room, and commercial consumption spaces. For the first time, it has defined six technical features of AI Campus: HI-AI coexistence, data-AI convergence, all-domain connectivity, multi-dimensional sensing, resilient security, and eco-sustainability. Furthermore, the white paper outlines the reference architecture of AI Campus and proposes an integrated planning-construction-operations framework, aiming to contribute Huawei's thoughts and experience to intelligent campus construction worldwide.

Shawn Zhao, President of the Campus Network Domain, Huawei Data Communication Product Line
Shawn Zhao, President of the Campus Network Domain, Huawei Data Communication Product Line, delivered a speech at the forum. He underlined Huawei's full-scope security system, which enables asset identification, connection protection, space sensing, and protection of privacy to provide integrated security across the digital and physical worlds. He said that Huawei has introduced quantum-resistant connection protection and CSI-based intelligent technology to elevate campus security operations. "Powered by AI, Huawei is reshaping campus security boundaries and helping customers build future-ready, secure, intelligent campuses," Shawn stated.

Perry Yang, President of Huawei Enterprise Optical Domain
Perry Yang, President of Huawei Enterprise Optical Domain, released the iFTTO Solution intended for intelligent campuses. Built on the O-N.E.X.T concept, this innovation integrates optical networks with multi-dimensional infromation. It is designed to establish a robust network foundation characterized by multi-dimensional infromation covergence, intelligent O&M, and open IoT, accelerating the intelligent upgrades of campuses.

Alberto Cudilleiro , CSO of Sampol
Alberto Cudilleiro , CSO of Sampol, delivered a keynote at the forum. UNVRS was named one of the 2025's best clubs in the world. In partnership with Spanish network service provider SAMPOL, Ushuaïa Entertainment selected Huawei's FTTO XGS-PON technology to provide a high-speed, reliable 10 Gbps campus network for the world-class entertainment venue. This allowed them to establish a network infrastructure that is adaptable to the future direction of the entertainment industry.
