[Bangkok, Thailand, June 5, 2025] Huawei recently held OptiX Club (Thailand) during Huawei Thailand Digital & AI Summit 2025. Themed "Accelerate F5G-A, Boost AI", the event brought together industry experts, customers, and ecosystem partners to explore the latest trends and applications of "optical + AI", and how they are driving industry innovation. At the event, Huawei released the new F5G-A series new products and solutions to facilitate the development of Thailand's optical network.
Sheldon Wang, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Business, Huawei Thailand, pointed out in his opening speech that AI is developing rapidly in various industries in Thailand, and that the data volume will continue to surge over the next five years. He also noted that optical technologies have unlimited potential in the AI era, and that this summit will be a starting point as well as an opportunity for Thailand to develop a new blueprint for its digital economy.

Perry Yang, President of Huawei Enterprise Optical Domain, noted in his speech that with the wide application and in-depth penetration of AI technologies, optical technologies will quickly extend from data centers to every industry communication network, every campus, and every sensing terminal, to "Enhance Computing with Fiber, Drive Computing with Fiber, Boost Computing with Fiber, and Empower Computing with Fiber", making AI to benefit various industries. He emphasized the concept of "no fiber, no AI." Huawei has brought its innovative "optical + AI" solutions to Thailand and worked with customers and partners to innovate locally. In this way, Huawei aims to help them address challenges presented by AI and digital intelligence, and ultimately accelerate digital and intelligent transformation across industries.

Enhance Computing with Fiber: All-Optical Lossless DCI Improves Intelligent Computing Collaboration Efficiency
The rapid iteration of AI foundation models puts immense pressure on centralized intelligent computing centers, such as electric power and equipment room space. This drives the shift of the computing center architecture from centralized to distributed, which requires cross-DC collaborative training. However, the interconnection between different intelligent computing centers is extremely sensitive to packet loss, which is unavoidable in traditional DCI solutions after a fiber cut, affecting intelligent computing training efficiency.
Jason Sun, Vice President of Huawei Enterprise Optical Domain, said that Huawei's newly launched all-optical lossless DCI solution uses new DC-OTN products to achieve lossless RDMA with "0" packet loss, "0" bit error in long-haul transmission, and hitless protection with "0" interruption.

Boost Computing with Fiber: All-Optical Campus Is the Benchmark for Campuses in the AI Era
Many AI applications are being rapidly deployed in industries such as healthcare and education, and terminals are proliferating at an unprecedented rate. This poses new requirements on networks, such as ultra-10G bandwidth and high-density connections. In a speech, York Liu, Vice President of Huawei Enterprise Optical Domain, highlighted the advantages of all-optical networks and their performance in simplifying the architecture and improving efficiency. He also shared the application of all-optical campuses in typical scenarios such as healthcare, hotels, airports, and subways, and introduced three tools to help partners efficiently deploy green, simplified, and high-performance all-optical campus networks.

Wanut Padee, Computer Technical Officer of Khon Kaen University Digital Technology Office, said that FTTO provides a stable all-optical foundation for Khon Kaen University's smart campus construction. It supports ubiquitous smart application services for more than 40,000 students and teachers. He added that various ONUs are deployed to meet the requirements of multiple scenarios such as dormitories, classrooms, conference rooms, offices, and outdoor video backhaul, which is convenient and fast. Passive optical splitters replace active switches, saving 30% energy consumption and greatly reducing the O&M workload.

Tawee Padungkit, Network consultant of Lion King Technology, shared the application of MiniFTTO solution in Chill Hotel. He explained that as the network foundation, PON technology has advantages in improving connectivity, optimizing operations, and enriching guest experience. It not only improves guests' Internet access experience, but also helps hotels become smarter and realize sustainable operation.

Empower Computing with Fiber: Optical Sensing Provides Massive Amounts of High-Quality Data for AI
AI training and inference require huge numbers of connections, immense computing power, and massive amounts of data. Leo Zhang, Vice President of Huawei Enterprise Optical Domain, said that compared with traditional sensing technology solutions, Huawei's solution integrates optical fiber sensing, visual sensing, and AI, achieving high precision, long distance, fast response, and easy O&M. All this makes it applicable to a wide range of scenarios including oil & gas, railways, airports, and campuses. In the future, optical sensing will help customers achieve intelligent detection in more scenarios and accelerate the arrival of an intelligent world.
