“Huawei supports Hermina Hospital’s vision to become a growing, healthy, and continuously evolving hospital.”
In Indonesia, Hermina Hospitals, one of the country’s leading private healthcare groups, is dedicated to delivering high-quality medical services. As part of its digital transformation efforts, Hermina Hospital has embraced a vision of developing future hospitals that are “Green, Smart, and Innovative”. In 2025, the group achieved a major milestone by launching Indonesia’s first large-scale hospital Wi-Fi 7 network, significantly enhancing its digital capabilities and patient experience. This achievement reflects the culmination of a multi-year digital transformation journey in collaboration with Huawei. As part of this initiative, Wi-Fi 7 has been fully deployed in Hermina Hospital’s facility.
The partnership between Huawei and Hermina Hospital started in 2019. During the pandemic, Huawei’s Wi-Fi 6 solution delivered reliable and efficient network support for Hermina Hospital’s remote consultations, fostering strong trust between both parties. This trust laid the foundation for a deeper partnership over the years, culminating in the successful deployment of the 2025 Wi-Fi 7 project at one of Hermina Hospital’s newest branches, Hermina PIK Dua Hospital.
With the increasing prevalence of services like mobile ward rounds, real-time access to high-definition medical images, and remote collaborative diagnosis, Hermina Hospital's original wireless network faced severe challenges:
• Service Experience Bottlenecks: The previous Wi-Fi network suffered from insufficient bandwidth, latency, and jitter under high concurrent access, impacting diagnostic efficiency and decision-making accuracy.
• Lack of System Synergy: The wireless network lacked deep coordination with the underlying wired network and data core, hindering end-to-end performance advantages.
• Complex O&M Management: Independent operation of multiple systems made fault localization difficult and failed to meet the high requirements for business continuity in a smart hospital.
As the core of this upgrade, Huawei's Wi-Fi 7 solution, with its 10 Gbps peak rate, millisecond-level low latency, and intelligent seamless roaming, fully activated the potential of the pre-deployed all-optical network and unified storage. This enabled a leap forward for services like mobile diagnosis and HD consultations, making them "efficient and lossless, anytime, anywhere."
This integrated solution led by Wi-Fi 7 delivered immediate and future-oriented value for Hermina Hospital:
• Qualitative Leap in Diagnostic Efficiency: Doctors can retrieve and smoothly browse high-definition images in seconds at the bedside via mobile terminals, significantly speeding up the diagnosis and decision-making process.
• Faster and More Connected Hospital Operations: A high-performance network enables faster workflows and seamless connectivity, improving overall hospital efficiency and collaboration.
• Enhanced Patient Experience: Patients enjoy stable, high-speed, seamless network connectivity throughout their journey, from online consultations to in-patient entertainment.
• Simplified O&M Management: Huawei's end-to-end solution supports unified intelligent management, enabling coordinated O&M from wireless to wired, access to core, greatly improving operational efficiency.
• Future-Ready Architecture: The built elastic, green digital platform provides solid support for Hermina Hospital's future business innovation and scale expansion.
From the introduction of Wi-Fi 6 in 2019 to the adoption of Wi-Fi 7 in 2025, the collaboration between Huawei and Hermina Hospital represents a sustained journey of digital transformation built on trust, progressive advancement, and close cooperation.
Over time, this partnership has evolved beyond periodic technology upgrades into a strategic, long-term engagement. Huawei’s contribution is not limited to delivering advanced Wi-Fi 7 capabilities; it lies in working alongside Hermina Hospital to systematically design and implement an integrated, future-ready digital infrastructure.
Through this approach, both organizations have established a cohesive and continuously evolving digital foundation that supports Hermina Hospital’s operational growth, service excellence, and ongoing modernization. The progression from Wi-Fi 6 to Wi-Fi 7 illustrates not only technological advancement, but also the maturation of a collaborative framework that enables sustainable digital capability across Hermina Hospital’s healthcare network.
