Huawei and Global Industry Organizations Release High-Quality 10 Gbps AI Campus Technical and Standard White Paper

Barcelona, Spain

[Barcelona, Spain, March 2, 2026] At MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei, together with several global industry organizations, released the High-Quality 10 Gbps AI Campus Technical and Standard White Paper at the 2026 Global WLAN Industry Forum.

The white paper systematically elaborates on the concept and purpose of high-quality 10 Gbps AI campus networks, and provides recommended solutions for typical business scenarios in industries such as education, public services, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and hospitality.

In addition, the white paper brings together more than ten exemplary application cases of campus networks across different industries worldwide, offering valuable reference models for the planning, construction, and operation of enterprise campus networks. This milestone marks the transition of AI campus networking from the stage of "standards-based guidance" to a new phase of "large-scale application".

Key attendees included Zhang Ping, Chair of WAA; Deng Yiou, Secretary-General of NIDA; Adolfo Borrero, President of the AMETIC Smart Cities Commission; Tayeb Ben Meriem, Vice-Chair of the IPv6 Forum; Shawn Zhao, President of the Campus Network Domain at Huawei's Data Communication Product Line; Shavkat Sabirov, President of the Internet Association of Kazakhstan; Johnson Zhang, CEO of Huazhao Technology; and George Wei, Marketing Director of Bittel Europe, Africa & CIS Region.

A campus is the basic unit of a city and the main place for production and living. The development of smart campuses has now entered an advanced stage.

"Frontier technologies represented by AI and digital twins are accelerating, driving campuses toward all intelligence and creating new scenarios and applications," said Shavkat Sabirov, President of the Internet Association of Kazakhstan. "The white paper draws on global application cases to highlight six dimensions that positively shape campus development: autonomous networks, 10 Gbps ultra-broadband access, ubiquitous connectivity, deterministic experience, energy saving, and full-scope security."

AI is reshaping operational models in areas like office work, education, healthcare, public services, and manufacturing. These transformations are not only creating entirely new application scenarios, but also placing higher demands on underlying network infrastructure.

"Amid the wave of digital and intelligent transformation across industries, AI campuses have become a reality, enhancing production efficiency through optimized processes. AI campuses integrate intelligence into networks for the intelligent connectivity of all things, and leverage networks to extend universal access to intelligence, accelerating the digital and intelligent transformation of industries," said Shawn Zhao, President of the Campus Network Domain, Huawei's Data Communication Product Line. "Huawei's Xinghe AI Campus Solution puts user experience at the core, delivering experience upgrades in four key areas—wireless, applications, operations and maintenance, and security. With this solution, Huawei underscores its commitment to building high-quality 10 Gbps AI campuses together with customers and partners worldwide."

Looking ahead, Huawei will continue to work closely with global customers and partners to promote the advanced concepts and technologies advocated in the white paper across diverse industries. This effort will provide critical network support for the development of AI campuses and accelerate the digital and intelligent transformation of industries.
