For government, electric power, and transportation sectors with high-security demands, Huawei has launched the OTN communication-quantum encryption integration solution. Featuring the industry's first integrated quantum key distribution (QKD) board paired with the OptiXtrans E6600, the solution achieves integration of quantum encryption and classical optical communication. This provides a simplified, efficient, and trustworthy communication foundation against quantum threats.

For substations, Huawei has launched the smart substation solution and a series of new products. With multi-dimensional monitoring, heterogeneous network integration, and flexible access, this solution enables all-scenario status sensing, full IoT coverage, and unified access to diverse sensing terminals, thereby building a "transparent station" IoT system.

For campuses, Huawei has upgraded its Fiber to the Office (FTTO) solution from "pure connectivity" to iFTTO solution that integrates networking, sensing, computing power, and management. The launch of the sensing- and IoT-capable all-optical APs OptiXstar W857I and OptiXstar W817I provides a unified foundation for smart campus transformation.

For conveyor inspection in industries such as building materials, mining, logistics, smelting, and electric power, Huawei has launched the fiber sensing solution for conveyor idler health prediction. Using fiber sensing, this solution enables unmanned inspections and real-time detection of abnormal idler sounds, achieving zero missed detections.

Optical networks have already enabled digital and intelligent transformation across Africa. At the summit, Ahmed Sorour, Project Director of the Engineering Consultants Group (ECG), shared the group’s experience in implementing all-optical campus networks, while Dr. Bahaa, Head of the Communication & Computers and Protection Sectors at EETC, presented experience in building industry communication networks.

The summit concluded with an awards ceremony for outstanding OptiX Club members, honoring partners who have made significant contributions in promoting the optical industry and driving intelligent transformation across sectors.

In the future, Huawei will continue to innovate, deepen cooperation with industry customers and partners, seize growth opportunities, and help Africa accelerate toward an intelligent era.
