Since the 1990s, the emergency network has experienced the development of narrowband analog trunking technology, LTE broadband technology, and new technologies such as big data, and cloud computing. This process not only witnessed technological progress, but also promoted the diversification of critical communication services, including video multimedia, service prediction, and multi-department collaboration.
In recent years, the construction of broadband and critical communcation dedicated networks has been paid attention to worldwide. With the acceleration of the transition from narrowband trunking systems to broadband trunking systems, the mutual support of wireless broadband and AI is promoting the digital transformation of the critical communication industry.
To address the increasingly complex challenges of critical communication, Huawei proposed three initiatives at HUAWEI CONNECT 2024:
1. Building a broadband and secure critical communication network: To cope with the emerging cyber and data security incidents, and various disasters, we need a network that supports multimedia, location, and mobile broadband video calls. Such a network should not only be efficient, but also ensure security and reliability.
2. 3GPP-standard spectrum for critical communication: Spectrum resources are critical . According to the London School of Economics and Political Science, allocating spectrum for critical communication uses can yield five times the social benefit. Therefore, governments are advised to reserve 3GPP spectrums for critical communication.
3. Accelerate the transition from narrowband to broadband: Based on the ETSI and 3GPP IWF interconnection standards, the broadband and narrowband interoperability is promoted, which helps smooth transition from narrowband to broadband, protects customers' investments, and improves service efficiency.
At HUAWEI CONNECT 2024, Huawei Enterprise Wireless also launched the latest MiniRapid Pro product. The product adopts an innovative design scheme, which is lighter, more convenient, and more power-saving. It can be vehicle-mounted, single-person carry, and one-click startup. It can provide instant network coverage in the case of power failure, road blockage, and network outage, improve emergency response capability, and quickly restore social order. The MiniRapid Pro demonstrates Huawei's innovative capabilities in the critical communication field, Building a national critical communication infrastructure network is not only a requirement for technological progress, but also an important measure to safeguard the people's lives and property. We look forward to the joint efforts of all parties to push the digital development of critical communication a new height.
