The industry production network is the foundation for reliable production, digital management, and intelligent control. With industrial digitalization and intelligence, the traffic volume increases by 10 times and the number of connections increases by 100 times. However, SDH can provide only 10 Gbit/s bandwidth, which hinders new service development and drives the upgrade and reconstruction of the production network.
Based on fgOTN technology, Huawei‘s industry optical communication network solution is fully compatible with SDH and provides ultra-high OTN bandwidth. It features high reliability, high stability, low latency, and high bandwidth, and supports hitless adjustment of bandwidth from 2 Mbit/s to 100 Gbit/s and smooth upgrade to 100 Gbit/s or higher, helping build future-oriented industry production networks.

Architecture
Huawei's industry optical communication network solution uses technologies such as SDH and fgOTN to build an end-to-end hard-isolated all-optical target network spanning from access, aggregation, to backbone networks. It supports flexible access and integrated bearing of any service such as PCM/PDH/SDH/ETH/OTN/SDI.
• Production services with real-time control have high requirements on reliability and latency, and so are carried by SDH or fgOTN technologies.
• Integrated data services, such as office and surveillance services, are carried by packet soft pipes to improve bandwidth utilization.
• TDM-based physical isolation prevents services from affecting each other to ensure high security.
• The iMaster NCE enables intelligent deployment and O&M, providing users with premium network experiences.
