Huawei unveils the industry’s first data center switch built for the AI era, CloudEngine 16800, at its network product launch event for Spring 2019.
[Hangzhou, China, January 2, 2019] As 2020 arrived, heralding the start of a fresh decade, Huawei and Sunac Southeast Regional Group — known as Sunac Southeast for short — launched an innovative 5G future community pilot project, integrating Sunac Southeast's community building and operations capabilities with Huawei's technical strength in 5G. The first batch of pilot projects will be implemented in Jiuzhangtai and Wealth Mansion in the city of Hangzhou, then expanded to wider Zhejiang Province.
At the Dataworks summit, Hortonworks, a leading global data management solution provider, announced to expand and enhance collaboration with Huawei. Huawei’s high-performance x86 servers use the Huawei DA200 hardware accelerator card and the Hortonworks data platform (HDP) to create an innovative big data platform for enterprise customers.
Huawei and three of its Smart City customers have won or been nominated for esteemed awards at the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2018, in recognition of their joint innovation and outstanding achievements in improving people’s livelihoods, enhancing management efficiency and promoting economic development. Huawei’s high-end OceanStor Dorado18000 V3 all-flash storage system achieved 7,000,565 Input/Output Operations Per Second (IOPS) with the data reduction function enabled in SPC-1™ benchmark testing. This once again sets new records following 6,000,572 IOPS provided by Huawei’s intelligent all-flash storage, the OceanStor 18800F V5, in the same testing. This result places the Dorado18000 V3 in the frontrunner position in all-flash storage performance.
Huawei launched its Intelligent Server series at HUAWEI CONNECT 2018. The servers offer new levels of intelligence, by utilizing the Huawei management chip to build an intelligent baseboard management controller (iBMC), enabling data classification through FusionDirector – its upper-layer server intelligent management system, and joining forces with Veritas Technologies to launch an automatic server protection solution.
At HUAWEI CONNECT 2018, Huawei and Riverbed Technology, the Digital Performance Company, announced a joint solution which brings together Riverbed SteelHead, the industry’s leading solution for WAN optimization, and Huawei's network attached storage (NAS) data migration technology. The solution is designed to address common challenges which include data loss and lengthy transfer times.
