[Beijing, China, November 16, 2022] Gartner, a global IT research and advisory institute, named Huawei as a Niche Player in its recently released 2022 Magic Quadrant for Security Information Event Management (SIEM) report. Huawei becomes the only vendor in China positioned in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the second consecutive year.
The Huawei SIEM solution, powered by HiSec Insight, can work with the Huawei cloud platform to implement unified security situation detection both on the cloud and on-premises. It can also interwork with security products (such as firewalls, IPS devices, and sandboxes) and network products (such as routers and switches) for collaborative response. In addition, it can collaborate with partners' products, such as honeypot, IAM, EDR, and IMOC, to help enterprises quickly contain threats, minimize further losses caused by threat spread, and form an end-to-end situation awareness solution.
Mike Ma, President of Huawei's Security Product Domain, said: "The key technical difficulties of security situation awareness products lie mainly in two aspects. The first is how to accurately detect threats, especially advanced threats and attacks, and how to reduce a large number of invalid alarms. The second is how to respond quickly to and deal with threats after they are discovered to avoid further spread. By capitalizing on the leading security capabilities built through continuous investment, Huawei's HiSec Insight Security Situation Awareness System offers unique cloud, network, edge, and device collaboration capabilities to help customers accurately detect threats and reduce invalid alarms. This thereby protects customers' core assets to the maximum extent as well as improves overall security operation efficiency of enterprises."
Currently, Huawei's HiSec Insight Security Situation Awareness System has been widely used by customers in various industries, including government, finance, electric power, large enterprises, and education. Huawei will continue to build up advantages in intelligent detection and response, and work with partners to develop high-quality overall security solutions to improve enterprise security protection capabilities and security operation efficiency, thereby safeguarding customers' digital transformation.
