To nurture Middle East ICT talent and foster a strong industry ecosystem, Huawei held the ‘Huawei ICT Skill Competition Middle East 2017’. Top colleges and universities in the Middle East were invited to participate. The competition spanned 10 countries, 14 ministries, 121 universities,10285 students registered, 4113 students participated in the preliminary round, 12 batches of ICT training for the students was held, 330 students made it through to the national final from 10285 entries, and 39 finalists from 10 countries were ultimately selected for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Shenzhen, China.
