CIRA Education & Huawei: The Global Smart Campus Showcase Officially Launched, Opening a New Chapter in Egypt Education Digitalization

[Cairo, Egypt, April 29, 2026] Recently, The Education On-Site Meeting of Huawei Data Communication Innovation Summit 2026 - North Africa was successfully held at Badr University in Cairo with the participation of over 30 customers from the Northern Africa region. During the event, the CIRA Education (hereinafter referred to as "CIRA") & Huawei Global Smart Campus Showcase was officially launched, marking a new chapter in the digital and intelligent development of education in Egypt. The launch was attended by Sarah El-Kalla, CEO of CIRA Tech, AbdEl-Rahman Hedar, Vice President for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Badr University in Assuit, Osama El-Salhy, CEO of EMCO, Kevin Yang, Vice President of Huawei Data Communication Product Line and Daniel Lang, Director of Huawei Global Enterprise Network Marketing Execution Dept.

Hassan El-Kalla, Chairman of CIRA, delivered the opening speech. He pointed out that education is the core engine of Egypt modernization and economic transformation. CIRA has long been deeply rooted in Egypt education, consistently focusing on high-quality school operation and innovative development, and continuously providing society with high-quality professionals. He hopes to take the opportunity of the global smart campus showcase launch to further deepen cooperation with Huawei, leverage cutting-edge digital and intelligent technologies to advance smart campus construction and teaching innovation, and contribute to the high-quality development of Egypt education.

Kevin Yang, Vice President of Huawei Data Communication Product Line, delivered the opening speech. He stated that AI technology has had a profound impact on the global education industry. Huawei Data Communication Product Line is empowering campus network construction with AI technology, fully integrating AI to enable the intelligence of the network itself, and building high-quality campus networks that are high-speed, intelligent, energy-efficient, and secure, thereby laying a solid foundation for the digital and intelligent development of education. He also pointed out that CIRA is a very important partner and service recipient for Huawei. Huawei will further deepen cooperation with CIRA to jointly promote the dig digital and intelligent ital development of education in Egypt.

CIRA empowers the entire educational process through a digital and intelligent foundation. By leveraging its self-developed myCIRA platform, it integrates course management, grade inquiry, campus payments, and employment services, delivering a "one-stop" smart campus experience. Simultaneously, it has established a data center and AI teaching applications, covering intelligent scheduling, academic performance analysis, and remote interactive classrooms, thereby enhancing teaching efficiency. All of these require network support. CIRA has partnered with Huawei to jointly build a high-quality 10G campus network, laying a solid foundation for the development of CIRA smart campus.

Mohamed Talaat, Huawei Egypt Enterprise Solutions CTO, provided a detailed introduction to the latest progress of Huawei Xinghe AI High-Quality Education Network Solution. The solution continues to innovate across four core business dimensions—teaching, research, management, and services—leveraging a full range of products with built-in AI engines to establish a campus network foundation that embodies the principle of " AI for All, All on Secure IP". Mohamed Talaat noted that the Xinghe AI education solution has been deployed in over 70,000 higher, vocational and general education in the world, strongly supporting the global digital and intelligent transformation of education.

After the event concluded, guests visited the BUC campus and toured the School of Oral and Dental Medicine, School of Filmmaking and Performing Art, and other areas, gaining firsthand experience of CIRA smart campus construction.
