EPEC and Huawei Sign an MoU to Drive Digital and Intelligent Transformation of Power

[Barcelona, Spain, March 3, 2026] At MWC Barcelona 2026, EPEC, a power utility established by Argentina's Córdoba province, and Huawei officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation to drive the digital and intelligent transformation of the power sector. The partnership will focus on advancing cooperation across three key areas: wireless private networks, the intelligent distribution solution (IDS), and backbone broadband operations. This is part of their joint efforts to accelerate the industry's transformation.

The MoU was signed on behalf of both parties by Oscar María Enrico, Board Director of EPEC, and Michael Li, Director of Huawei Argentina Enterprise Business. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Martin Aguilera, NOC Manager of EPEC; David Sun, CEO of Huawei Electric Power Digitalization Business Unit; Mitchell Zhang, President of Huawei Latin America Enterprise Business; Xiao Binbing, Huawei Argentina CEO; and Andres Cardozo, Director of Energy department in Huawei Argentina Enteprise Business.

As the main electricity distribution operator in Córdoba Province, EPEC is responsible for power generation, transmission, and supply across the region.

Founded in 1987, Huawei is a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices. Under the agreement, the two parties will work together to research the evolution of the power sector, co-develop intelligent power solutions tailored to the Argentine electricity market, and extend successful practices to broader markets.

Going forward, Huawei and EPEC will deepen their partnership to deliver reliable digital and intelligent services for the power industry in Córdoba and beyond. Their joint efforts will support the development of a world-class power system and advance the intelligent transformation of global energy.
