In industrial manufacturing, every operation depends on precision and continuity. Today’s factories and production facilities rely on interconnected systems, automation, and high-density digital workflows, all of which demand fast, secure, and reliable network infrastructure. Recognizing these needs, SABO SA embarked on a transformation to modernize its ICT foundation.
SABO SA, founded in 1984, stands as a cornerstone of global industrial engineering. With operations spanning over 60 countries and exporting 90% of its annual turnover, the company has become a symbol of excellence and innovation within the Heavy Clay Industry.
As a proud member of SABO GROUP, headquartered Greece, and with strategic subsidiaries in Romania, and Italy, SABO SA consistently sets the benchmark for industrial solutions. The company also pioneers in automation and robotic systems for material handling and packaging, delivers turnkey electrical and industrial automation solutions, and provides custom-engineered equipment for heavy industrial units and integrated solutions for solid waste management.
Driven by unparalleled technical expertise, relentless innovation, uncompromising quality standards, and a team of highly skilled professionals, SABO SA has continually led with vision, shaping the future of industrial excellence in Greece and beyond.
This is why the demands on the ICT infrastructure grew steadily, as the company expanded and adopted increasingly advanced production processes. Committed to embracing new technologies and innovative applications, SABO SA required a network capable of supporting this evolution. The CIO was not searching for new hardware. He was searching for certainty.
We approached him differently. We didn’t pitch. We gave him transparency into how Huawei thinks, engineers, designs, and validates. We let him experience the actual ecosystem: Huawei engineering team conducted a thorough and structured assessment of the site, carefully evaluating the client’s operational requirements and evolving business needs. In close collaboration with SABO SA, multiple alternative approaches were developed and presented, ensuring that every option was considered against real-world performance and scalability criteria.
A series of detailed meetings and technical workshops followed, allowing all stakeholders to explore, validate, and refine the proposed solutions. This meticulous, collaborative approach eliminated the risk of incorrect decisions, giving the client full confidence and assurance at every stage of the decision-making journey.
The trust was built not by “claims” — but by evidence.
The final network architecture leverages high-density Wi-Fi 7 access points combined with 2.5G switching to meet the diverse connectivity needs of SABO SA’s operations. For lower-density areas such as hallways and meeting rooms, the AirEngine 5773-21 was deployed, while high-density zones including lobbies and open office spaces were equipped with the AirEngine 6776-57T. At the core, the campus network aggregation layer uses two S6730-H48Y6C-TV2 switches configured in mutual backup, ensuring high reliability and seamless failover. Before deployment, users experienced occasional weak Wi-Fi signals and intermittent connectivity. After implementing Huawei’s solution, these issues were completely eliminated, providing a reliable and high-performance network environment.
SABO SA now benefits from a stable, resilient ICT infrastructure that provides a dependable foundation for future digital initiatives and supports ongoing investment in innovative technologies.
“As soon as we realized that our ICT infrastructure needed to evolve alongside our ambitions, we turned to Huawei. Working with their experienced team was a collaborative experience — from the initial assessment to the final deployment, we felt fully informed and confident every step of the way. The team didn’t just provide a solution; they helped us understand it, test it, and trust it. Today, our network is stable, resilient, and ready to support the next generation of industrial innovation. It has truly become a foundation for our future digital initiatives”
